Chapter 1: Where my Heart aches

It was winter when I decided to apply for a job abroad. I heard about an interview of group of companies in a suburb where I used to go to work. I head to the hotel where they did the interview and found myself wondering if it is a good idea. However, I wanted to escape from this place where I find myself frustrated all the time. As I entered the lobby, I saw other fellow nurses waiting for their turn to be interviewed. I listed my name and joined them in the agony of waiting game. It was almost after 3 hours when I got my turn and headed to the interview room. And we began. The lady, in her 40s I think, asked me several questions about my field of expertise and had me explained a disease process. In medical field, I tend to excel a lot, so I find it easy to describe and answer what she wants. After half an hour, she told me to wait for a call back. I was just told by the assistant that I got the job. Was very excited about it and could not fathom my happiness. I immediately called my mother and told her, "I am finally going to London". I began my process for paperworks and submitted the necessary documents to the agency. At that time, I am no longer interested in talking to my husband. I feel like I wanted to escape from him and avoid him as far as I can. He, on the other hand, has no drive of getting our life better. He always go out with his friends and would stay out late. "I am going to London  for work", told him. He smirked, "so you finally get what you wanted?, to leave this rotten place??! I never thought you would never be contented with the things I am giving you!" "You gave me nothing, I worked my ass out to live a life I never wanted just to be with you, and yet you still feel like I owe you? Huh, my debts are long over. I have received my contract already and I will leave this place to find a good fortune for me and for my child".
