Adrian's POV

Whenever I put my thoughts to something or focus, her face would find its way into my mind.

Lila.

Even though I keep my eyes shut and she is not around, I could almost hear her scent, that perfume-better for worse-which set all my sanity flying that night.

Had I known her face in that time, I would have just walked away. Or perhaps not.

She was that which I ought not to dream of but one that I craved wildly.

"Enter," I said lightly.

"Ohh! This was for you because you skipped breakfast," she said as she came in with breakfast on a tray. "You haven't been eating well lately."

The tray was set down on the desk, and when she looked at me, she looked with soft and caring eyes, filled with concern and patience. "You seem worried. What happened?" she asked gently.
