Mysterious 52: Cryptic Pleasure

Several days had passed in an instant. Hours went by in a blur. Tomorrow would be Aris’ birthday and I still did not know what to do. It was as if I had no options to consider. I was too bemused.

It felt like hammering my head over and over again—trying to think of what else could be my perfect gift for him, aside from the sphere-shaped black-pendant necklace I had already given him.

It was given to me by Uncle Jim when he saw me crying on the day I left Aris in his El Nido villa. Uncle Jim said that it was his lucky charm throughout, and the said necklace would also bring me… true love.

“Take this necklace and don’t lose it, Drey. No matter what, this will take you to the right path following true love,” Uncle Jim handed me a black-pendant necklace while I was seated in the front seat of our family car. I was crying, but I found the design awesome.
