Scarlett exited her car immediately and dashed into the mall where she had found the children the other day. Even though she was not sure why they would be there, she prayed in her heart that by some kind of miracle, the kids would be in there.

There was no sign of them and she got out feeling very downcast. She had startled Danielle with the way she had dashed out of class and deep within her, she wished that the children were safe.

Her phone beeped again and it was a message from Lucas.
