The expression etched on his face conveyed everything I needed to understand. As he parted his lips to speak, a sudden, sharp knock on the window shattered my attention. I turned to the side, only to discover Helen standing there with an air of pride. Naturally, I had no choice but to step out, causing her to take a step back upon seeing me.

Cameron trailed behind me, arrogantly pushing me aside as if I were inconsequential. He reached for Helen's hand and apologized for the unfortunate incident between her and me. Saying I must have mistaken Helen for some random woman at the store, Cameron assured her that he had spoken to me and resolved the matter. "History won't repeat itself, will it, darling?" he questioned, and I could do nothing but nod in response.

However, Helen interjected, asserting that a mere apology was not enough. She insisted that Cameron witness the way his wife had spoken to her, all because she desired the same dress. Meanwhile, Helen had been the one to lay her
