“Ahem… ahem…” Adam cleared his throat and gave Christopher a look prompting him to speak.

“Dad, this is Emile.”

“I am not senile yet.” Adam snorted as he sat back.

“Son, we know she is Emile.” Elizabeth pursed her lips that were curling up as she added in ridicule “I don’t think we can forget even if we turn senile after hearing it for the past ten years.”

Emile lowered her head. She wished she could dig a hole and disappear; the giggling sounds of her to-be- sisters-in-law weren’t making her feel any better.

“We know she is Emile. We know that you love her. We know that she didn’t like you.” Ericson took the baton for teasing from his parents.

“We know that she is now divorced, and you threw all the big and small work at me, drowning my life and ran away from home.” Mark too joined in the fun.

“…..and made the already non-existent time with our dad for me and my siblings disappear.” Miles jumped in to say his 2 cents worth as well.

“Stop teasing” Veronica laughed “Otherwise the girl
