Prologue

"Do we really have to leave, Dad said we can stay here." Allyssa said in a low voice.

"I'm sorry honey, but I don't want to stay here, this house will just let me remember our past, I want us to move on. Start a new life together." Sarah, her mother said in pained tone.

Her parents got divorced yesterday, her father, Ernie requested the divorce. She knows why. He has a mistress.

"I am glad you chose to come with me and not to your father." Her mother smile weakly at her.

She smile at her. Allyssa is a daddy's girl. he used to give anything she wants and pampering her everything he wants to. She is a care free to do anything she wanted too but doesn't make her a brat, She still know to follow the curfew, given by her mom.

Her father face saddened when she choose to come with her mom. But still, she can still can come and see her father when she wanted too. That is one of his condition where she agreed.

"I know I am a daddy's girl, but I won't let you leave alone, mom. I love you just like how I love daddy. But he has someone to take care of him and I am the one to take care of you, I won't leave you, I'll stay with you whether you like it or you like it, you will like it." She joked trying to lighten the mood which she succeed by her mother's laughter.

"So, where are we going then?" She asked while her mother still packing their stuff.

"To your aunt in Canada, we'll gonna stay there for awhile then we'll look for our own house there and start a new life." She said smiling widely.

"How about my studies?"

"Well, let's wish there's a school there. Oh! I'll ask your aunt!" She jump and left but came back again. "Please continue packing, we'll be leaving tomorrow morning." She grinned, I rolled my eyes at her and wave my hand, shooing her.

Then I do as I told, while in the middle of my third luggage when my phone rang. I answer without looking for the ID.

"Is it true?" Bianca, my best friend said.

"Well, hello to you too. What is true?" I mock, even though I know what she's talking about.

"You really are leaving?!" She yelled, I pull out my phone away to my ear.

"Unfortunately." I shrugged

"When?"

"Tomorrow morning." I said, deadpanned

"What!!" She practically screamed. I rolled my eyes.

"Hey, I need a help, see my mom ditch me out, I'm packing my stuff and-- Hello? Bi?"

I huff then throw my phone on my bed but before I start packing again, my bedroom door burst open, revealing my very own, best friend. Her long blonde hair that reach her waist sway with the air, her pale skin show with her so called clothes, sleeveless yellow tank top and short shorts.

I was about to speak when she lunge at me, making us fall and roll to the floor.

"You're leaving and you didn't bother to tell me! The prom is near! Our senior year is almost done! You are the supposed to be valedictorian! Why now? Why not next year?" She wail, hugging me tight. Struggling in her hold and finally freeing myself.

"We have too or we can't move on, besides, I needed this as much as my mom need this. I can't study well if this issue keep on bothering me. And who told you that I'm gonna be the valedictorian?" I cock my brow at her, she giggled.

"Just a thought, you know if you just let your brain works, you can beat that nerd. You're just lazy." I chuckle.

"Let the nerd be, besides I am not interested to that. Just passing the school year." I said full of confident.

She smirked. "I can still remember when that nerd dared you in our exam. He eat his word and damn!" We burst in to fit of laughter as the memory flash.

"If I got a perfect score, you'll be dating me and be my girl." She mimic the nerd voice. I rolled my eyes.

"If I got perfect score, you'll be up in that stage and take off your pants." I spat.

"Then when the exam came, he got 98 and you got 100! Oh my god! That became trending for month! He such a mess! He didn't show up for weeks too! Such a shame!" Once again, we burst in to laughter but our laughter turns into a small sob. I glance at my best friend that is now sobbing. I sighed and pull her in a hug.

"Come on, we'll be keep in touch okay?" Rubbing her back soothingly.

"I will miss you." She clutch on to me like her life deepens on it.

"Me too." I smile weakly, I bit back the sob that is threatening to come out.

"Promise me that you'll come back, and text me everyday, social site as well." She said like a child making me chuckle.

"Of course, I will." I patted her back just in time when my mom came.

"Dinner's ready, Bianca, would you like to join us?"

"Of course, Sar. You know I always love your cooking." She ran to her and clung her arms to my mom shoulder.

My mom chuckle.

The dinner went well and Bianca stay for the night, sleepover as she said it and I let her. This will be the last we'll be seeing each other. But we promise to hang out if we got the chance.

The morning came fast and we're now leaving. A short goodbye from our neighbors and to Bianca's family.

"Make sure you'll call me when you arrived to your new place!" Bianca said while sobbing.

"I will, I promise, can you stop crying?! You're crying for the whole night." I scold at her. She sobs. I sighed heavily. "Come on, cheer up. You don't want me to leave seeing you cry right? Please smile?"

She smile weakly, I hug her again and kiss her cheek. "You'll always be my best friend and my sister okay?" She nods her head and smile widely. Returning her smile and we bid our last farewell before we hit the road.
