Marco's POV

March. The second week of it, and my life feels like it's in freefall. Nothing is going right, and I’m not sure where I went wrong, or maybe I do, but it feels like every single thing is unraveling around me.

The separation papers? Still not signed.

It’s not working in my favor. Sade is still gone and still hasn’t come home.

My mother? Still pissed.

My grandmother? Still upset.

I’m getting a divorce from my wife, the one I thought I’d be with forever after less than ten years. How the hell did this happen? I can’t even answer that.

I haven’t spoken to Isla, haven’t spoken to Shane, haven’t apologized to anyone. Hell, I haven’t even fixed things with Sade. My marriage is falling apart, but I haven’t done anything to stop it.

The weight of everything sits heavy on me. I feel like I’m drowning. I’ve been going through the motions: work, home, sleep, repeat. Nothing to look forward to.

Explicit Scenes Ahead!!!Sade POV The beginning of spring brought with it a renewed energy, yet Sade found herself drowning in work, using the long hours to distract from the silence in her home. With her children spending the week with Marco, she buried herself in the new clinical trial program for a dementia medication, a project that demanded her full attention. But lately, something else had been stealing her focus.Adamo Rossi.Ever since he had witnessed her vulnerable moment at the elevator to the parking garage, he had quietly inserted himself into her world offering companionship in the form of late-night work sessions, shared meals, and an unspoken understanding.Tonight was no different.“Hey, worker bee,” Adamo’s deep voice broke through the silence as he leaned against the doorway of the lab. “I ordered food. Why don’t you stop and have a bite?”Sade smirked, glancing up from her work. “Give me five minutes.”“Well, don’t blame me if the food is cold by the time you get

Anonymous POV Marco sat there, staring at Sade, his mind racing. He couldn't believe where things had gone wrong. His throat tightened, and he took a deep breath, trying to find the words."I remember the first time I saw you," he said, his voice cracking. "We were in grammar school. You were this lively, bubbly little girl, and it felt like you had this aura around you. You were smart, strong, kind... You didn’t take shit from anybody, and I knew I had to be next to you. And, you know, as we got older, I developed these feelings. I'd see other guys around you, and I’d get jealous. I wanted to beat the hell out of them. You were mine, you know? From the first day I saw you, I knew you were mine. And I don't wanna lose you."He wiped his eyes, tears rolling down his face. "I can't lose you."Sade’s hands went to her face, her shoulders shaking as she started crying too. Marco’s heart broke seeing her like this. He continued, his voice barely audible but full of emotion."I don’t know

Sade’s POVAs I walked with Star and Cheryl, making my way toward our table, I suddenly felt a presence approaching.I didn’t even have to look.Patrick Stewart.A walking STD in designer shoes. He was a good-looking man, and he knew it, tall, chiseled, always well dressed, but none of that mattered when he had the personality of a sewer rat. Patrick slept with anything that had legs and a pulse, and even that last part seemed optional.I forced a polite smile. “Hi, Pat. How are you?”“Can’t complain,” he said smoothly, eyes shamelessly raking down my body. “But damn, Sade, you look good enough to eat. Can I have a taste?”I almost threw up in my mouth.I blinked, my lips parting slightly in disgust. “Um… what?”He smirked like he actually thought he was charming.“No, thank you,” I said sharply. “As you can see, I’m married.”Patrick snorted. “Ah, you could’ve fooled me. I thought you were getting a divorce.”Nosy ass.I lifted my chin, forcing an indifferent expression. “Nope. Still

Sade’s Point of ViewThe cold January air nipped at Sade’s skin as she stepped out of the car, the city’s bright lights bouncing off the icy pavement. The Westin Hotel stood tall against the Chicago skyline, its grand entrance illuminated by golden light spilling from the revolving doors. Inside, some of the most brilliant minds in pharmaceutical and medical research were gathered to celebrate a year of groundbreaking advancements. She tugged her long coat closer, taking a deep breath as she steadied herself. It wasn’t nerves. She was used to these events by now, but tonight felt different. Maybe it was the weight of all she and Cheryl had accomplished, or maybe it was something else entirely. As Cheryl and Robert flanked her on either side, she felt their quiet confidence bolster her own. Cheryl, ever the picture of poise, was positively glowing, her caramel complexion radiant against the deep green of her satin gown. Robert, her fiancé, was as polished as ever in a tailored black su

Sade POV The soft glow of the Christmas lights outside bathed the hallway in a warm, golden hue. The hum of quiet conversation from the party seemed to fade as the last few guests made their way toward the exit. Sade adjusted the collar of her coat, her fingers trembling just slightly from the cold air that still lingered in the building despite the warmth of the gathering. She took a final glance around, savoring the last moments of the evening.Adamo was standing beside her, his expression calm and introspective. He didn’t have a coat on; his dress shirt, sleeves rolled up, and tailored trousers made him seem effortlessly sharp, exuding a quiet, confident charm. The air between them was comfortable, but there was an undercurrent of something else, a tension neither of them dared to address.“I’m really glad I came tonight,” Sade said, her voice soft but sincere, her eyes meeting his. She smiled, a genuine warmth behind her words. “It was nice to be part of your family celebration.
