Chapter 2

I woke up again in a cramped room, realizing that my hands and feet were bound together.

I could tell from the scent that this was somewhere in the Moon Pack—probably a thatched hut tucked away in a hidden corner.

Before I could fully open my eyes, a bucket of cold water was suddenly splashed in my face.

"Get up, bitch! Tell me what sort of dirty tactics you used on Cole to hypnotize him into giving you the badge!" Amy screamed.

"How many times have you slept with him, huh?"

The cold water seeped into my clothes, and the chill engulfed my entire being.

My lips trembled as I replied, "Wouldn't you be able to sense it in your mind if Cole actually betrayed you?"

That seemed to strike a nerve in her. She continued screaming at me, "It was you! It had to be you! You must have used some sort of potion to dull my senses! That had to be the case!"

Amy then rushed up to me and yanked me up by my hair.

"Look at me, you ugly old hag! How could you still bear to seduce younger werewolves at your age? I'm going to teach you how to behave! Bitch!"

Then, she began kicking and stomping all over my body.

Her attacks, with her strength, would have been nothing to me if this were in the past. But now, I could feel my wounds, which had just recently healed, throbbing in pain.

Sensing my pain, Amy became even more excited as she mercilessly stomped her shoes on my fingers, my stomach, and my ankle. Every spot throbbed with excruciating pain.

However, she still didn't seem satisfied after everything she'd done to me. She then tore open my clothes. When she found a silver blade wound on my right shoulder, she began pressing hard on it.

"You little bitch! You slut! I'll make you suffer! Let's see if Cole will still like you after this!"

She then found a dagger and began slicing my skin according to the patterns of the silver blade wounds on my body.

She was furious and jealous and wouldn't stop screaming shrilly in my ears. I could feel the warm, sticky blood flowing out from my cuts.

I used the last of my strength to say, "Let me go! I really am Cole's elder sister! Tell him to come here! Let me talk to him!"

However, Amy refused to listen to my explanation and even began kicking and stomping on me even more ferociously than before.

"You bitch! How dare you still demand to see Cole now? I'm telling you that it's never going to happen!

"You saw him behind my back last time, but what are you planning to do now? Are you going to try to get intimate with him right under my nose?"

I felt a wave of nausea in my stomach and nearly threw up.

After what felt like a long time, Amy ran out of energy. She sank to the floor listlessly while still muttering curses at me.

"Since you refuse to get out and insist on staying in the Moon Pack, then I'm going to make you stay here forever!"

The fierce, resentful look in Amy's eyes didn't suggest that she was lying.

Although I wanted nothing more than to get to my feet and kill her on the spot, my current physical condition just wouldn't allow me to do that.

I kept drawing deep breaths while I panted. The only thing I could do now was to avoid talking to Amy. Or, rather, I had to avoid provoking her further.

I sighed softly. However, I didn't expect my necklace to slip out and dangle in front of me when I moved.

The sight clearly stung Amy's eyes once more.

She screamed at the top of her voice again while ripping it cleanly off my neck.

"So this is where it is! You bitch!

"This is the best Healing Rock! I'd begged Cole to give it to me three years ago, but he told me no! As it turns out, it was with you all along!"

The Healing Rock I wore was indeed a very precious one. Cole had basically earned it while putting his life on the line, and he'd given it to me back then to wish me a speedy recovery so that I could return to the pack sooner.

I watched as Amy's eyes turned redder and redder.

"You both have been sleeping with each other since three years ago! You bitch! You damn slut! How many more things has he given to you?"

I spoke with much difficulty, "If you'll let me go, I will give you everything that he's ever given me."

Amy scoffed and smacked the cold blade of the dagger against my face.

"At least you know what's best for you!

"Remember this. I am only taking back everything that should have been mine!"

Then, she called over several strong and tall werewolves and said, "Go and retrieve everything that belongs to me!"

She then turned to me and demanded, "Spit it out! Where are the things?"

I shifted slightly and struggled to sit up.

"You won't be able to find them. I'll get someone to bring it to you."

She didn't seem convinced and had a few werewolves watch me as I made a call.

I instantly called Eva Fangster, the Werewolf Alliance chairman's younger sister. She was an outstanding werewolf warrior who had also been recuperating with me at the Holy Springs, and we had spent so many years together that we'd forged a deep sibling-like bond with each other.

When Amy and the others heard that it was a she-wolf on the other end of the line, they relaxed visibly.

I then used a tone of voice that only Eva would understand and said, "Eva, I need that Healing Rock now."

Eva had initially thought of reminiscing about the old days with me, but when she heard my tone, her tone also shifted immediately.

That was because I only ever used this tone whenever I was grievously injured or if my life was in danger.

"Where are you? I've already informed Leo about this. Just wait for me, okay? I'll be right there."
