The contortion of her facials, and the sudden darkening of her aura was enough to give me a hint of what Katherine was thinking. My question was absurd, one that I shouldn't have brought up in the first place. I blamed my instincts, it was a concept of reality, one that even I couldn't escape. Despite getting affection and attention from Katherine, I was still being cautious of Aiden.

"What are you saying? What on earth are you talking about?!" She did not speak, but I could hear those questions just by looking at her.

"You don't have to answer" I could tell she was already annoyed by my question earlier. And I knew quite well that adding the latter statement would only worsen things, yet I found myself doing the exact thing. I was supposed to apologize, but my ego wouldn't let me.

"Can you please just leave me alone" Katherine requested with a whisper. I didn't intend on leaving, but I didn't oppose her words. I just laid back on the bed without another word.
