As the days passed, Renzo’s condition steadily improved. The stem cell transplant was an absolute success—his body achieved complete engraftment, replacing the diseased marrow with healthy cells and driving his leukemia into full remission. He remained under close observation in the pediatric unit to monitor his blood counts and prevent any complications.

Doctor Samuele was thrilled to see such a remarkable recovery. The procedure’s success catapulted him into international prominence virtually

In a way, Reid's death leaves more room for Laura to change and grow for the sake of her child.

Reid surviving would have made the situation even more complicated, especially if he and Laura ended up together just because she got pregnant. If Reid had lived, he and Luciano could have reconciled as friends, but it would have been incredibly awkward if Laura eventually chose Reid.

it's so unfair that a loyal person like Reid has to die and an evil person like Laura has to live.. i don't know why the author lets laura get passed away from all the things.

“Leave my hand, Laura,” he warned in a deep, cold tone. He didn't snatch his hand back in anger, carefully making sure he didn't pull hard enough to trip her from the high stool she was sitting on.“No, I won’t,” she said stubbornly. “Not until you answer me.”His jaw clenched as he gritted out, “I don’t owe you anything. You’re carrying my best friend’s child, and that’s all I care about.”Laura sighed, a pained expression washing over her face. In her mind, she was sure he was only bitter because she had gotten pregnant with Reid while claiming all along that she loved him. “Luciano, listen to me. Just once. Give me a chance to explain,” she begged in a convincingly sweet voice.“I said there's no need,” he replied icily.Slowly but carefully, he tugged his hand from her grip. She let go, watching as he turned and walked out, heading up the stairs toward the top deck for fresh air.Laura followed right behind him. Out on the breezy deck, Luciano turned around, looking thoroughly an

It was Lucy and Luca’s wedding day. Lucy looked stunning in her white gown, her hands trembling just a little as she held Luca’s in front of all their family and friends. Their faces were bright with tearful smiles, their eyes shining with the excitement of finally sealing their love in marriage.Later, Luca surprised her at the reception. Raising his glass for a toast, he cleared his throat, trying to keep his composure before speaking."I wasn’t much of anything before I met you," Luca said, his voice cracking slightly as he looked straight into her eyes. "You brought light back into my life when I thought I’d never see it again. I’m going to spend the rest of my days making sure you never regret picking me."Tears spilled down Lucy’s cheeks, but the smile on her face was pure joy.Off to the side, Hazel held up her phone, making sure the camera caught every second. On the screen, Rosa and Renzo were watching the live call from the hospital, taking in every word.Holding that phone

Bella’s eyes shut tight as a soft gasp escaped her lips. His were warm and firm against hers, skillfully prompting her to open up for him. The sensation was so electric, so intense, that her knees threatened to give out, and she instinctively reached out to grip the fabric of his shirt. He took his time, sucking and nipping at her soft lips, drinking in her sweet taste. When he caught her bottom lip between his teeth with a gentle tug, she gasped again—and he immediately seized the opportunity, sliding his tongue into her intoxicating heat. The second their tongues met, he was completely gone.Shit.Samuele hadn't planned for any of this when he called her into his office. He had fully intended to scold her, to set strict boundaries, and to make sure she never pulled a stunt like that morning ever again. But the moment he saw her shut her eyes and bite her lip in pure nervousness, every ounce of his usual composure simply snapped. And driven by raw impulse, he kissed her. He pressed

“No, not yet,” Samuele murmured.Rosa raised an eyebrow. “Then when are you going to ask her? After the wedding?”“It’s better if I just go alone,” he muttered, remembering what Bella had done to him this morning. Ever since, she had been hiding from him, very carefully avoiding crossing paths with him in the hospital all day.“Oh, come on, Samuele. I don’t think it’s too much to ask, and I’m sure Dr. Bella would love to go with you. Just ask her,” Rosa insisted with a gentle smile. She really wanted the two of them to spend some time together. She wanted to see Samuele move on with a good partner, and to her, Bella seemed like the perfect match—Rosa could tell just by how much Bella cared for him.“Okay, Rosie,” he said, and Rosa’s eyes widened at his teasing.“Be careful, Dr. DeLuca. If my husband hears you calling me the name he keeps for himself, you’re going to be in big trouble,” she warned with feigned annoyance. “I’m not afraid of him,” he said, leaning a little closer and loo

“Ah, baby boy, I asked Dr. DeLuca,” Lucy said, her own lips forming an exaggerated pout. “He said you can’t come because you’re still under observation, and the crowd of guests would exhaust you, so...”Rosa couldn't attend because she refused to leave Renzo alone in the hospital, but they had arranged for Renzo to watch the ceremony virtually.Renzo let out a dramatically resigned sigh. “It’s okay. Just get married, and then bring me the biggest piece of your wedding cake, okay?”“Deal, baby boy.”Luciano hadn't planned on attending either, but Luca and Lucy had pleaded with him—his presence and blessing meant the world to them. In the end, he had given in and was going.“Is your family happy now, Lucy?” Rosa asked softly. She knew Lucy’s family hadn’t been pleased when they first heard the news of her marriage—especially because she was marrying the man she loved, rather than the one her parents had chosen for her. Lucy had endured endless clashes with them, but they had eventually a

“Boss, Reid’s family is filing claims over his estate—his bank accounts and properties,” Luca informed him as he steered the car through traffic. Luciano listened silently from the passenger seat, his eyes closed, his head resting heavily against the backrest with a furrowed brow. They were on their way to the hospital. Rosa had been staying by Renzo’s bedside around the clock; after completely losing one of her children, she had become fiercely affectionate and protective toward Renzo, refusing to leave his side, leaving Lucy in complete charge of managing the publishing house. Luciano had returned to managing the office, but he made sure to visit the hospital every single day. Yet somehow, a cold, heavy silence had stretched between Rosa and Luciano—a distance neither of them wanted to address. For now, they simply found a quiet, unspoken comfort in that silence.Without opening his eyes, Luciano replied, “They have no right to claim a single thing that belonged to Reid. Everything
