LOGINChapter 8 Lila’s pov Home, at last. I felt at peace. I could have missed school today since I moved in last night but I just wanted to go out. Get some air, and now I’m back like I never left. In the comfort of my warm bedroom, I tossed my school bag onto the floor and collapsed onto the mattress, trying to pretend I didn’t have a single care in the world. But my mind wouldn't rest, it kept drifting back to that arrogant boy. "What did he say his name was again? Ah, yes... Aiden Moon," I muttered to myself. So, he really was the son of the great Alpha Toran. Yet, he didn't seem to share his father’s aura, the kind of presence that felt dark, overshadowing, and filled with dread and terror. Aiden just seemed shallow. Also a victim of his father’s dreadful nature. I shook my head, pushing the thought out of my mind, I got up lazily to head to the bathroom for a shower when the doorbell rang. I wondered who could possibly be visiting me. When I pulled the door open, a plump, short
Chapter 7 Aiden’s pov I stood there, replaying my failure in my head. She was one with a big mouth, my first attempt was a big flop. Not only did she resist, she flashed my weakness to my face. Reminding me of my dread for my dad. I never saw it coming.I still stood there. A light rain began to drizzle, and my driver immediately stepped forward, holding a black umbrella over my head. "Sir..." he murmured. I looked back toward the path she had taken, but she was long gone. This bet I had so foolishly accepted was going to be the end of me. I climbed into the back seat, and he drove me home in silence. Once I was safely behind the closed doors of my bedroom, I grabbed a lacrosse ball, throwing it hard against the wall and catching it on the rebound over and over again. The thought of the last moment with her came back to me as it washed over me. Gosh it was so embarrassing. I felt a stink in my flesh. No one had ever talked to me that way, least of all a girl. Usually, every gir
Lila’s pov It was finally time to go home. I stood up, slinging my bag over my shoulder, but I wasn’t in a hurry, I lingered in a corner to watch the crowd stream out of the school building. It was as if I were invisible. No one noticed the new girl. It seemed like everyone had a friend, a partner, or someone to lean on, while I was entirely alone. But I didn't care. I had always been alone. I couldn't wait to get back to my soft bed. The apartment they had given me was small but cozy, and I loved the plush mattress. There were other teenagers living in the area, too, and even though I never spoke to them, I didn't really feel lonely. Finally, everyone was gone, enjoying the peace and quiet of the still afternoon air. I dragged my feet along the pavement, one hand tucked into my baggy shorts and the other gripping the strap of the school bag slung over my shoulder. From a distance, I noticed a figure standing near the gate. It looked masculine, like a male figure. As I drew close
Aiden’s pov I let my words sink into her with a deed of fear. That was how my dad taught to me control respect by fear. I went back to hanging out with the boys. My eyes were still fixed on the hallway if she will still walk in. It took a while until I saw her walk inside in slow steps. All eyes turned to her. “Is that…is he a new student?” Mathew asked me knowing I had all the answers but I acted not to hear what he said. “I thought it was a girl?” He added. Oscar sniffed “he smells…. Human…. Smells like a girl” Oscar seconded but I just ignored them. “Your nose is off…” Mathew teased Oscar, “that’s a fuming dude right there” he pointed to her. Everyone watched her as she walked to the principal’s office. I’m sure they were all having the same conversation just as we did. Mathew grabs me by the shoulder. “Fuck that dude.. Last night was lit!!!” Mathew was my closest friend, but he was also the son of Alpha Rufus Blackwood my father’s right hand man and a prominent
Aiden’s pov “Leaving so soon?” Mathew threw his arms around me handing me another bottle. “Come on!!” He teased me playfully and I reluctantly took it from him. The boys cheered me. The music was loud and banging, I could smell the heat off everyone’s sweat soaked body as sharp as ever, it filled the room. Everyone was dancing and It was already late hour. I stayed with them but my mind was fixed on the consequences of my actions. “Just one more bottle…one more”. I told them using my finger as an indication and they cheered on. After the last bottle, we headed home. Mathew’s driver was already waiting outside. They were all drunk while I was the only one sober. I had to be. As he drove home, I asked him to stop two blocks away from my home. I didn’t want to be seen by anyone, I had my own plans of how to get inside the house without being noticed. “See you later captain!!” Mathew hailed me and the other boys joined him in joyful shouts as they drove off. I walked ove
Lila’s pov He looked me all over, as my eyes remained fixed on the floor unable to meet the gaze of the mighty Alpha Saul. My Alpha. I’ve never seen him up close but only from a distance, seeing him this close made my blood cold. His presence commanded respect, he wasn’t just my alpha but the leader of all three packs. I could feel his gaze on me, but he did it say a word for a while before he spoke. “Send her to Stray Town” I heard him speak. When I heard his order, I almost collapsed. My heart dropped, my eyes widened in fear. “But…we, we don’t know for sure….she’s still very much human…she hasn’t even wolfed out how can we be so sure?” Mrs Yin begged on my behalf but once a decision has been made, it is made final and binding. He remained silent. “Please just give me more time to watch her, don’t send her away just like that, I’m sure she didn’t mean no harm, maybe we didn’t see right … she doesn’t belong there”. She pleaded on my behalf. I couldn’t understand anyt
