FAZER LOGINCHAPTER SEVENTY-FIVE
RHYS’ POV
As I watched Thelma as she walked away, I knew that everything was over. Our plans had been shattered, and I didn’t think there was any remedy for it.
She was going to keep to her words, and I knew that for sure she was going to be gone b
CHAPTER EIGHTY-FOUR THELMA’S POV It had been three weeks since I left Rhys, and everything seemed to be going well even though it wasn’t as good as I wanted.Brian was coming to the new apartment very often, and it didn’t take long for my son to get used to his presence. They bonded so well that I never heard anything about his desire to see Rhys. Brian mentioned about his intention to take me along with him to a nearby City for an upcoming project, but I wasn’t sure if I really wanted to go with him. I simply told him that I was going to give it some thought.I knew that it was going to be the perfect escape plan, but it didn’t appear that it was the right time for me to leave, not when I wasn’t convinced that Brian was not going to treat me like Jax or even worse.“I Dave take care of you, Thelma. And I Dave make sure that no harms comes to you…” He recited one of his usual lines that morning, and I just sat there looking at him with a neutral expression on my face.“Aren’t you g
CHAPTER EIGHTY-THREE RHYS’ POV “Now is the time to strike, Rhys…” Sylvia said while we were still on our way to the car, and I had to stop at that moment. She had a very mischievous look on her face, ad I could tell that she was up to something, but I couldn’t figure it out."What are you thinking, Sylvia?” I asked after a while, but she chuckled softly without saying a word. “I know that look, Sylvia. What are you up to?” I asked again, and she looked around to be certain that no one was listening to us before she gave me an answer to my question. “Jax is weak. This is the right opportunity for us to strike him. He has to pay for all the things he has done to me…” Sylvia was angry at that moment, but I was afraid that she was going to go overboard with whatever plans that were going on in her mind.“We don’t have to stand here and talk about it, Rhys. Come on, we need to get home, I need to eat and rest…” She grunted and started moving to the car.It wasn’t long before Jax walke
CHAPTER EIGHTY-TWO RHYS’ POVI was surprised that Sylvia didn’t recognize Jax who was standing right there in front of me, but I knew that she was going to see him clearly soon.“What is he doing here?!” She growled as soon as she recognized him, taking two steps backward while she held onto her belly like Jax was going to harm the baby. She later turned to me with a look of disappointment written all over her face. “Did you bring him here to take me away?! How could you, Rhys?!”“No! I didn’t! he came here on his own!” I tried to defend myself, but she didn’t seem to believe me. Jax must have taught her not to trust anyone.“He didn’t know that I was coming here, Sylvia. I already knew that you were going to be here in the hospital for your Doctor’s appointment…” Jax said calmly, but Sylvia rolled her eyes at him in high contempt. He turned to me like he was expecting me to be thankful because he defended me, but I remained the way I was, hoping to find out what he was about to say.
CHAPTER EIGHTY-ONE RHYS’ POVMy sister was my new partner living with me in the big mansion, but it still felt as though I was all alone without anyone to talk to.Thelma had been gone for a week, and there was no day that passed without me trying to reach her. It was very obvious that she blocked me as soon as she took her things and left the house.“You are still thinking about her, aren’t you?” Sylvia’s voice called me back from my drift. She was standing right there in front of me the whole time. “Aren’t you going to work?” She asked, causing me to lift my head a bit to look at her.“It’s a Saturday morning, Sylvia…” I smirked, and she sighed almost immediately.“I have been forgetting things so easily, Dave. I even forgot that I am supposed to go see the Doctor today. Remember that you promised to come with me…”I sighed. I didn’t think I had the energy to go anywhere that morning. “Please, brother. There is no way I am going there alone. What if something happens to me?”“Not
CHAPTER EIGHTY JAX’S POV Lara said exactly what I was going to hear, but there was a little problem which I wasn’t sure of how I was going to figure out.“Don’t worry, Alpha Jax. I Davegive you all the details about the partner, and the rest is left for you…” Lara answered my question before I could ask, and I was glad that I didn’t have to stress further to ask. “You have done well, Lara. I am sure that Anton Daveregret losing you by the time he realizes his mistakes…” I caressed her ego again, and she chuckled with so much excitement written all over her face.“I have to go, Alpha Jax. It’s best we keep physical meetings minimal to avoid being suspected. Also, you can’t tell any other person about our plans. This I strictly between us…”“Don’t worry, Lara. I know how to keep a secret…” I watched as Lara sneaked away, probably to return back to the company complex, and the only thing I could do was smile and sigh heavily like a heavy burden had been lifted off my shoulders. She c
CHAPTER SEVENTY-NINE JAX’S POV Sylvia had left, and there was no way I could reach her but I knew where she was. She was Rhys, and I hoped that she was going to come back. She was carrying my child, and there was no way I was going to let her go just like that’s. It was bad enough that I had lost one already.I was not going to lose another no matter what was going to happen. That morning was different. There was a little tension merging with the anger that was surging through my vein. I was close to the construction site, but then I realized that there was no one working at that time.I was so intentional about not going so early to work just to avoid the drama of having to face all the workers entirely. “Alpha Jax?” Lara called, causing me to turn at once to see her walking toward me.“I already knew I was going to find you here…” She said with a smile on her face.“What’s going on, Lara? Where is everyone?” I asked with a curious expression plastered all over my face.“Anton as
