Forever a Fan Girl

I found myself stalking him, wanting to keep sight of him. I would wake up every morning, excited to jog with him, and I even followed him to the gym. It was like I was a teenager again, when I used to fantasized being with him. Oh, what a blessing it was!. I had previously planned to move out from my apartment, but it was obvious that I wasn't going to do that anymore.

I heard a knock on my door one evening, and when I checked on my camera, there he was. "Did he get my telepathy?", I had been thinking about him the whole day. My heart raced a thousand times as I gently opened the door, making sure I looked okay. "Hi, I'm sorry to have disturbed you. I was wondering if you could let me borrow your kitchen" he said with a fixed gaze. "W..what?" I was taken aback for a second. "I really love cooking, but when I'm alone, I can't seem to concentrate. If it's okay with you, can you keep me company?. You can eat everything after I finish" he continued.

This was getting even more awkward, but I decided to let him in. I couldn't bear to stare at his puppy eyes. I was damn sure he needed someone now more than ever. It could've been anyone, but he came to me instead. "Sure, please come in" I immediately ushered him in. He scanned all around with his beautiful eyes as he made his way in. It was thanks to God that I had decided to thoroughly clean my apartment earlier. He quickly spotted my kitchen, and believe me when I say he came prepared. Along with him was his cooking utensils and ingredients in a box, which was what I noticed he was carrying when I looked through the camera.

"I'll start now" he said to me, while casually wearing an apron he grabbled from his box. I didn't dare ask him what he was going to cook. Occasionally, I would give him this wide and cheerful but awkward smile whenever he turned to look at me. He was so focused on his cooking. Apart from my dad, I had never watched any other man cook. I sat by the kitchen table, staring at this gorgeous man whom I could see in my dreams, but now, he was right here with me.

"Can you taste it? I want an honest review" he said to me with a half smile. As if that wasn't enough, when I was about to grab the spoon to taste it, he fed me instead. I was already head over hills for this guy, with whom I knew I had no chances with. "It's delicious. What is it?" I asked. "Beef stew" he continued "it's what my mom used to cook for me when I was a kid". He stared at me for a long time, I was completely muted. "You can eat now" he said. I saw this proud look on his face when I started eating what he had dished out to me. He looked so much more happier now, so much better than when we first met.

"Thank you for letting me use your kitchen, and for keeping me company as well" he said to me with the brightest smile I had ever seen. I had helped him put back all his stuff into the box, except for the food which he let me keep. "You don't need to thank me, Besides, you let me keep what you prepared even after feeding me. I should be the one thanking you" I said in a hurry as I walked him to the door. "I'll take my leave now" he smiles and then goes to his own apartment. I could've sworn we looked like two couples who had just spent a whole day together. I couldn't get the excitement off my face. I still had not taken any picture with him, but it didn't matter because I had him all to myself.

David lays restlessly on his bed, unable to sleep. Suddenly, a flashback takes him to 8 hours ago (at 9am) when his parents who lived in Sweden had called to inform him of their decision to come visit him in the USA, where he was on vacation. "If she hadn't saved me, would I still be here?, laying down on my bed?. Not once did I ever think of my poor parents who gave me life and loved me unconditionally." He felt so happy that life had given him a second chance through Brianna as tears rolled down his cheek.

A few days later, his parents had already arrived and were with him in his apartment. "Look at you, you've grown so pale since the last time you visited home. That's it, I'm going to cook your favorite food" Mrs Carlson quickly hurries to the kitchen to cook for her son, David. She continues to complain about his sudden loss of weight. "Don't worry about your mom. She's always been like that, always worrying about you" David's dad explains to him. "I know dad, and I'm so grateful to her and to you as well for always looking after my health." David replies. "So tell me, how have you been coping? We know you decided to take this vacation because your body needed rest" David's dad continues.

"He always told us how much of a hard time he was having while struggling to make a living for himself. My poor son" his mom complains from the kitchen. "I've been doing great so far. I believe that this vacation will help me gain a lot of strength" David explains to his parents. "If we don't worry about you, are we even your parents?" Mrs Carlson backfires, still in the kitchen. David's dad gives David a sweet and big smile, and then taps him on the shoulder. After some time,  David goes to the kitchen to help his mom, but she refuses help from him. "You always do the cooking every time you'd come home. Just let me do it and play a game of chess with your father."
