Sara heaved a sigh of relief as the woman stomped off, screaming threats at them. ‘Good riddance.’ She was glad that she didn’t have to pretend to be anything anymore. She really couldn’t wait to get home and sleep in her own bed. First, she’d take off these dresses and wash off all the makeup so it didn’t stain her bedsheet.

She looked up at Adrain, who was having a conversation with Elijah, and resisted the urge to run towards him and kiss him square on the lips. It was thanks to him that they were finally able to get rid of Josephine.
