46. Finding Kate
I paced around the room as the floor boards creaked under my weight, but nothing stopped me still. Ben was sitting on the couch; his head resting in his hands while Charlie stared out the window in search of his friend.
My parents were out, so I had called everyone at my place to explain the situation we were in. Joseph was taking too long, but that was understandable because he was looking around for the person in trouble.

Something was very wrong, and after what I just saw on the school parking lot, I couldn't be more sure.

It seemed like time itself had no idea what on earth was going on, or why it didn't know whether to speed up or slow down.
