4. Oh and FYI, I am not your girl!

Sami was born with a silver spoon in his mouth. His mother died during labour and his father had always dotted on him ever since. He was brought up to take over the family's business and no matter how ruthless, pompous or arrogant he may be, he excelled extraordinarily well in the business part. Within three years of taking over the business while his father rests and overlooks their underground mafia issues, he had taken the family business to a three times higher level.

He was quite a handsome and well built man too, with his tousled dark brown hair, which was thick and lustrous. His eyes were a mesmerising emerald green, flecks of silvery light performed ballets throughout. His face was strong and defined, he had dark eye brows, which sloped downwards in a serious expression. His face hardly held smiles as he believed the more serious he looks, the more respect and fear he gains. He was feared by all of his workers and he got triggered easily. He once went through anger management class but never really passed.

Sami had been in love with Zoya ever since he set his eyes on her years ago. He was in high school when she transferred into his school. He would secretly watch her every lunch break as she laughed care-freely with her friends. Whenever he saw her with a guy who wasn't him, he always went bonkers, he would go behind Zoya's back and threaten whoever the boy was.

He got the angriest when a scrawny looking boy went ahead to ask Zoya out for prom with a box of chocolates and Zoya agreed happily. Sami and his friends went to double cross the boy on his way home, "Just because Zoya is such a nice person to everyone doesn't give you the right to talk to her. I don't get where guys like you even get that audacity from, does she look like she belongs in your league in any way? Not only are you ugly looking, you don't even have the body nor the money to claim her. The next time I see you even do as little as look at my girl is the day I'll pluck out those eyes of yours!" He had threatened the boy and then left his friends to beat him up.

The boy was so bruised and scarred that he couldn't even attend school for the remaining days before the prom night. And then Sami succeeded in being Zoya's date instead.

He had always thought of Zoya as his wife to be and made sure to even tell his dad.

"I have found my bride." He had told him when he got home from school one afternoon.

"You can have any woman you want, dear son. Not one would turn you down,, you've got all they want." He had replied to him, smiling.

This had given Sami the confidence that Zoya was already his even though he never even for once asked her to be his girlfriend. He just simply assumed that she was.

It was yet another birthday of hers and he was planning to go overboard as usual.

"Have you gotten the roses?" He asked his personal assistant as she trembled and struggled to keep up.

"Yes sir! I've also gotten the best of love quotes to be written on the notes of each gifts." He replied.

"Well, for that of the flowers, I thought of one myself, try 'seeing that I usually forget everyone's birthdays, you should consider yourself lucky that I always remember yours.'"

His P.A hesitated, "Uh?.... Sir? But that sounds...."

"I want it that way so she can know how lucky she is to have me and know that I'll always remember her birthday no matter what." Sami interrupted sternly.

"Yes sir."

"I'll be using the limo tonight. I want to appear in a grand style for her birthday party." He instructed yet again.

"Yes sir."

Sami smiled, feeling so proud of himself for thinking of something so intelligent, or so he thought.

It was Zoya's birthday party. It doesn't matter how simple she plans on making her birthday look, it always ended up getting blown out of proportion, courtesy of her sister. She had decided on a simple house party right on the beach with just a few friends of hers, but judging by the hustling and bustling of so much people, drinks, foods and extravagant outfits, it was definitely not simple anymore. She kept seeing people she didn't even know and already knew that this was her sister's doing.

Zarah had always said she wished that she had two birthdays in a year and she got her wish, she turned her sister's birthday into hers stylishly.

She had even picked out an over-the-top dress for Zoya, one in which she had to wear else Zarah would not let her breathe.

The dress covered her shoulders entirely and flew down into a fancy sweetheart neckline. It was a snug fit which gave the dress a classy and polished look. Her arms have been covered to just above her elbows. The sleeves started out loose and tightened towards the bottom where they formed a perfect match with the color of her skin.

The dress' waist was a bit wide, but it was a comfortable fit. A bow had been wrapped around her and rested gently on her belly.

Below the waist, the dress fit snug around her and has a straight style. The dress reached to just below her knees and is longer at the sides and back of the dress. She was wearing t-straps, they were simple, but radiate grace and refinement. To top it all off she was wearing a bow in her hair and one simple, but elegant bracelet.

Sami walked into the party, gathering attention due to the rare tuxedo and overall charisma he pulled. Zarah nudged her sister while Zoya simply pretended not to notice as she kept hugging and greeting her guests.

"We are going to leave now, baby girl. Make sure you have a blast and don't forget that it's now time to fall in love, get married and make me a grandparent. And hopefully do all those things in this order. Happy birthday once again, darling." Zoya's dad joked as he hugged his daughter.

"I think she's past the first phase, getting married is the next step." Zoya's stepmother, Ava stated teasingly as she nodded in Sami's direction.

"Ugh! Can we just stop this whole marriage talk? It's my birthday!" Zoya groaned.

Her parents laughed as they walked away.

Zoya's best friend, Joe walked in and hugged her tightly as they both squealed.

"You look so beautiful, sweetheart. I love the dress!" Joe complimented as he touched her hair and body.

Joe had all the height of a man but none of the bulk. From behind he could be anywhere in his late twenties to early thirties, but when he turned, that face was all boyish. He was lit up with that grin boys wear when they have something mischievous planned. His sandy hair flopped over his eyes in the way that gave him the bad boy next door look and on his wrist were bracelets in woven leather that Zoya had gifted him on one of his birthdays.

"Oh dear, thank you. I saw that sweet message of yours, but I hope you just didn't send me digital flowers, balloons and cake. I wasn't born digitally so I hope you came with the real thing?" Zoya asked playfully.

"Of course , sweetheart. I came with the best gift ever! Myself, bitch! Joe said deadpanned but Zoya knew he was just joking as he had always gotten her amazing gifts year in, year out.

"So, where's that boyfriend of yours, don't tell me y'all broke up for the hundredth time..." Before Zoya could finish her sentence, Joe was shoved and his butt was already on the floor.

Zoya looked up to see that it was none other than Sami and she huffed and puffed angrily.

"What do you think you're doing, Sami?" She asked through her teeth as she tried her best to look calm and not gather attention.

"Oops, I'm so sorry, Joke, or is it Yoke? What's that name of yours? The one I've only heard old men bear?" Sami mocked as he grabbed Joe's hands and helped him up.

"Joe. It's Joe! It's not even a name that is so hard to pronounce, you've known me for years and still call me other names, intentionally." Joe replied sternly.

"Well, I'm so sorry, Joke... sorry, Joe. I only tried to push past you a little bit so I can greet the birthday girl only for you to fall at the impact. You are such a weaklin. Sometimes, I forget that you're actually a man just like I am. So I'm sorry, can I have a moment with Zoya?" Sami asked, the sides of his lips tweaking into a threatening smirk as if saying 'I dare you to say no.'

Joe simply rolled his eyes and stomped off.

"What was that for, Sami? Why do you always cause troubles around me?" Zoya questioned not even bothering to hide her annoyance.

"Well, it's not my fault that you're like sugar that several ants always roam around, is it? Plus, I've been around for minutes now and you haven't even acknowledged me, I've seen you hug at least ten men while I stood." Sami stated as he felt his anger rising as he thought about it.

"So? Sami, today's my birthday and what's wrong with hugging men? Are we in the ancient days?"

"Hm.... anyways, happy birthday to you, baby. You smell like my wife and you look like her too." Sami said as he had rehearsed about ten times.

"Wait what? You don't even have a wife, Sami! What are you even saying? If you'll excuse me, I'd like to go see my best friend, apologize to him and then try to enjoy the rest of my party." Zoya said dismissively as she proceeded to bypass him and leave but Sami only stepped in front of her and pulled her closer by her waist.

"Sami? What are you doing? You're totally invading on my space right now."

"Baby, do you even know what important business and schedules I had to leave behind just to attend your birthday party? And you want to ignore me, again?" Sami asked in a very cocky manner as he pulled Zoya even closer to his body, her breasts totally against him. Heat surged through his body but it was only one sided as Zoya was feeling non of it, she was irritated and annoyed about it all.

"Stop this, Sami! Just stop! Are you drunk or something?" She asked as she tried to free herself from his grasp.

Joe noticed how uncomfortable his best friend was and walked towards them, "are you okay, sweetheart?" He asked with concern only to be pushed aggressively by Sami again and this time, he landed on a pile of stashed wine cups filled with drinks, he was okay though but attention was already on them.

Zoya was at her breaking point at that moment, "Leave my party, Sami! Go away! You're such a pompous and arrogant psychopath!"

When she saw that Sami was only smirking and not even prepared to leave, she stormed out while he followed right after.

"Oh come on! Stop being such a crybaby, it was just a little push, he'll be fine." Sami said nonchalantly.

" If you think it's just about that, then you're dumb. You were touching me even when I told you to stop!"

"That was just me being flirty with my girl, it's not a big deal. " Sami replied as he shrugged.

"If that's what you call being flirty then you need to take lessons, In fact, start from beginners' class!" Zoya snapped as she stomped off to the beach.

She then turned back dramatically at him and said, "Oh, and FYI, I am not your girl!"
