LOGINKyrian’s POV Although my body was in the hall, my soul wasn’t. The only thing I thought of was the incidents earlier. The first was the sight of catching Sasha cheating with Daniel and Connie running off the moment she saw it. I was trying hard to understand but I couldn’t make sense of how she would run out like that when it wasn’t her man Sasha was sleeping with. It was already strange and as if that wasn’t enough, I saw Connie crying in her room earlier. Crying was being subtle, she was literally bawling her eyes out. I took a look at Connie and a look at Daniel. I had a bad feeling about this. Then I heard Pat’s voice, “You must pick a side, Connie. If you don’t agree with what they’ve said so far, you are free to say your own opinion and it will be put to a vote as well.” “Ah, nevermind,” Connie replied. “I will just pick a side.”“Then we shall commence the voting,” Pat said. “Stand if you are with Hori, sit if you are with Sarah.”Hori, Zarek, Sean, Sasha, Connie, and a few
Connie’s POV “Daniel told me he used to sleep with you,” Sasha dropped the bomb. The moment I heard those words, I felt like my heart had stopped. I tried to grab onto the wooden handle of the bench but it felt as cold as ice. I swallowed hard and what came next was feeling asphyxiated. I found it hard to breathe and if anyone but Sasha was here, I would definitely be asking them for a paper bag. “I know you are jealous,” she continued regardless. “Any girl who has slept with Daniel in the past would, that’s normal. However, you must learn to move on. He is with me right now, not you. Forget about him and stop getting involved in my business.” “This entire thing… I can explain…” I found myself saying. She laughed triumphantly, “I swear I don’t need your explanation. Just make sure Zarek never finds out about Daniel and I. If you ever tell him, I will tell the whole world about your past relationship with Daniel. I wonder how Kyrian would feel when he hears of your past with Danie
Connie’s POV “Should I kiss you?” I asked spontaneously. He had shock registered on his face. He looked at me, looked away, and then looked at me again. I thought he would rub his eyes to confirm he wasn’t seeing things. “What… What are you saying?” he asked nervously. “Err…” I was lost for words. “I just… I think I just wanted to make you laugh so you can forgive me.” “Laugh?” he asked out of confusion. “If you wanted to make me laugh, you should have told a joke.”“That was a joke,” I replied, smiling awkwardly. “Don’t you think it was funny?” “I didn’t think it was,” he replied flatly. He started to walk again, leaving me behind. I caught up to him and could tell he was angry. However, this was out of my hands. It wasn’t as if I could bring myself to tell him I really meant it. “Did I get you angry again?” I asked as we walked. “I was only trying to make you feel better.” He didn’t respond. “I guess I am useless,” I muttered. Finally, Kyrian stopped walking. He turned to me
Kyrian’s POV “Yes, I thought it would be a great prank,” Connie told me with a smile. Anger surged within me but I wasn’t in a position where I could speak and act as I wished.I stopped looking at her and started to make the pancakes from scratch while making sure I didn’t involve her in the process. When she tried to lift something, I snatched it from her quickly. She took a step back and watched as I cooked. I made breakfast and it got a six out of ten from the chef, it was a pass mark. I didn’t talk to Connie after that because I was pissed off at her. Adding salt instead of sugar was upsetting and what’s even more annoying was that she did it on purpose. I might have understood if it was a mistake. “Hey,” I heard. I looked up and saw Sarah smiling at me. I looked away instantly but she was sitting next to me the next minute. She sneezed in a bid to get my attention and when I turned her way, she smiled and started to talk, “You and Connie seemed to have a small situation earli
Connie’s POV “You just made me fall and you find it funny enough to laugh about it, don’t you?” I asked angrily. “I didn’t push you. You are the one who kept on pulling. It’s unfair to blame me like that,” Kyrian started to stare at the ceiling.I gritted my teeth once again. I could see he was fighting hard not to laugh. I had hit my buttocks on the hard floor but he thought it was funny… I would definitely get back at him. I got on the bed again but this time, I kept the blanket only for myself. He rose to get another blanket and this annoyed me for a reason I didn’t know. Therefore, I took up more space on the bed. The goal was to get him pissed off as well. To my horror, he didn’t complain. He laid on the little space I had given him and while this should have made me feel guilty, it only made me feel like I wasn’t trying hard enough to get back at him. While I thought of what to do, I started to hear his snoring. I guess my revenge would have to happen in the morning. By the
Connie’s POVI had all eyes on me at this point. While everyone looked puzzled, Kyrian was gazing at me like he usually did. Maybe he had realized I was the kind of girl to pull up surprises like that. “That was a daring answer, Connie. However, you are yet to tell us the reason behind your answer,” Pat said calmly. I nodded before I started speaking, “The reason is simple. In fact, I believe that option will be what many people would take. But rather than blackmail, I would use lighter words.” “Lighter words like what?” Pat interrupted. “Striking a deal,” I replied. “In return for my silence over the matter, he compensates me properly.” Murmuring erupted immediately. It was as if everyone had something to say at the same damn time. A quick clearing of the throat by Pat brought order to the room. If Vress was watching me right now, he would probably be pleased. I, of all people, knew how much he loved controversies for the high views it gave the show. “Don’t you think you will b
"Are you fucking kidding me." Hori said, squeezing her face like I just said something offensive. "You really don't expect me to be a good fit with Chad…CHAD HENDERSON…Oh c'mon connie.""Well…I mean, he's hot though." I smirked playfully in an attempt to convince her since she was a crazy fan of ho
Kyrian's povThe flight back from Tokyo felt like crossing back into enemy territory.Connie had slept most of the way, her head against the window, while I stared at nothing, my mind replaying the nights we’d spent tangled together in that hotel room. For one week, it had been simple and real. Now
"Were you not taught how to knock?" He turned to face me, his hands reaching out to cover his pelvic region."Ummm…excuse me." I snapped at him. "I didn't know you were here. And besides, I knocked on the front door several times.""Well…this isn't the front door." He snapped back. "Get the fuck ou
"No fucking way." "Yeah, that's what I thought when they told me too." I dropped onto my bed face first, my body stretching off the pent up exhaustion in it. Hori was standing in the middle of the room, one sock half off her foot. She'd stopped attempting to remove it the moment I started talking
