My fingers clutched the front of his shirt, refusing to let go, not because I wanted to, but because I couldn't stop shaking.

I could still hear Tracy's cruel laughter.

Still feel my torn uniform.

Still remember the flash of her phone cam

Mysterious POVThe scent of failure clung to me like blood.I kept my head lowered as I walked through the damp stone corridorEach step echoing against the ancient walls. Wolves.Moons.Blood.The symbols had stood here for centuries, untouched by time, guarding secrets the modern world had long forgotten. At the end of the corridor stood two massive black doors. The guards pulled them open without a word.A wave of cold air swept over me.I entered. The chamber was enormous, illuminated only by candles arranged in a perfect circle around a stone altar. Chains hung from the ceiling, their rusty links swaying gently despite the absence of wind.At the far end sat a man upon a throne carved from black stone. His face remained hidden beneath a hood darker than the surrounding shadows.Even after all these years, no one dared look directly at him.I dropped to one knee."My Lord."Silence.The kind that suffocated. Then"You failed." He yelled. The words were fierce.I was frightened e

Tyler yelled as he passed the puck.I reacted a second too late. The puck slid right past my stick and crashed into the boards behind me.A few teammates exchanged confused glances. That never happened.Coach blew his whistle again."Myers!"I looked up."What the hell was that?""Sorry, Coach." I replied. He folded his arms across his chest."You've made five mistakes in ten minutes. Do you need glasses all of a sudden?"A few players laughed.“I don't Coach” I answered, wondering why he was exaggerating so much.."Again," Coach barked. The drill restarted.Ralph skated beside me, lowering his voice."You've

Elissa's Pov I woke up to the annoying sound of my alarm. Why did my body feel so heavy? I groaned and reached over to silence the alarm before collapsing back onto my pillow. Every muscle in my body ached. Even lifting of my arm felt like a chore. "What did I do yesterday?" I muttered. I squeezed my eyes shut, hoping another five minutes of sleep would help. Instead, a strange image flashed through my mind. "What..." I frowned. Golden eyes? I rubbed my face and let out a nervous laugh. The room was exactly as I'd left it. Books were scattered across my study table. My backpack lay on the floor where I'd dropped it the day before. Everything looked normal. Too normal. Then why couldn't I remember coming home. The first thing I noticed was the pounding in my head. It felt as though someone took a hammer to my skull and refused to stop. I groaned softly, burying my face into the pillow again. The last thing I remembered was… The hospital. I visited Mom. Then I le

Jason's PovThe man didn't flinch. He stood several feet away from me, his hands tucked lazily into the pockets of his black coat, as though we were old friends meeting in the woods. The forest had gone unnaturally silent. No birds. No insects.Nothing.Only the wind weaving through the towering trees."...From our Alpha," he repeated, his voice smooth and unsettling. My jaw clenched."My Alpha doesn't send messengers."His lips curled into a smirk."I wasn't referring to yours." He snared A low growl rumbled in my chest before I could stop it.He took another step forward. I shifted my weight, ready to attack if he made one wrong move."I know who you are, Jason Myers.""The future Alpha of the Crescent Moon Pack.""I also know you've finally found your mate."At the mention of Elissa, my wolf slammed violently against the walls of my mind.Protect her.Every muscle in my body tightened."If you've come to threaten her..." Elissa's POV The walk home felt... strange.Jason's words refused to leave my mind."Go straight home.""Don't let anyone convince you to leave your house.""Call me immediately."I'd never seen him look so serious before. Not even yesterday. There was something different in his eyes... almost like he was afraid. But Jason Myers didn't seem like the type to be afraid of anything.I tightened my grip on the straps of my backpack as I walked down the familiar streets leading to my neighborhood. The evening breeze brushed against my face, carrying the scent of fresh rain.Normally, I would have gone straight home like he asked. But there was somewhere I had to be.I stopped in front of the small flower stand near the bus stop."Hi, Mrs. Green."“Hello my child, the usual?"I nodded. The elderly woman smiled warmly.I smiled back."Just the white lilies today.""They're her favourite, aren't they?"I nodded."Yeah."She wrapped the flowers carefully before handing them over to me."I ho
