Job hunting.

"F*ck". He breathed and cursed. "Who the hell was that lady, and why couldn't I just find her?". Alexander questioned himself before directing the strong liquor into his mouth.

Alexander couldn't believe himself at all. Normally, he isn't the type of person to look back at a lady after sleeping with her once, but the lady of six years ago was somehow weird to him.

He felt whole with her in bed. But what made Alexander hate himself, he didn't quite remember what happened that night because he was really drunk (Not completely drunk, he was somehow also drugged).

He placed his left palm on his forehead, and also shut his eyes. He could still recall the sweet scent she possessed in her body.

That sweet scent totally consumed him that night, making him drown with desires to have her all to himself.

"What's even wrong with me?. I, Alexander, I'm thinking about a lady?". His mood was back to normal. "I really must be crazy". He muttered.

"Mommy, I had a lot of fun talking to grandma today". Tessa said with a smiling expression.

"Really?. That's great then". Mina was satisfied. "Are you sure that you still don't want me to carry you?". Mina asked. This is exactly the third time Tessa has rejected her offer.

"Of course not. I can walk on my own". Tessa assured her. "I don't want my mommy to stress herself again, just like big brother had said before". Tessa excitedly thought, because for once in a while, she wasn't behaving like a little spoiled child.

"Fine, if you say so then". Mina added. She smiled when she saw how Tyler and Taylor let Tessa walk in the centre of them, not only that, they both held her hands, walking side by side. "How cute". Mina muttered.

They eventually arrived at the bus station and entered a bus. When they arrived home, with the little change she still had left, Mina made use of it to prepare meals for all of them.

"Here you go….". She placed the bowls of noodles on the table before helping her babies sit on the chair. "Look here, Tyler, don't be mad at me, but I think I have to break my promise I made to you". She sighed deeply before continuing. "I'm running out of cash, it's best that I find a job as soon as possible, so I'd be able to sustain you guys".

"But…. But".

"No but, Tyler. It's my duty and responsibility to look after you guys. Don't complain please, I'm going to be alright. In fact, I'm alright". Mina assured him.

"Yeah I'm aware, mommy. But, I did tell you not to waste money on that flight, but you didn't listen to me and still went ahead to". Tyler was sad. He didn't exactly understand the reason why his mommy suddenly decided that they come to Las Vegas. If it was because of her (Mina) intention for them to see their grandma, he doesn't have anything more to say.

"He just wouldn't get me, would he?. I'm tired of running away from my unfortunate past". Mina thought to herself. "Don't worry, after I get myself a job, I'm going to listen to your words, okay?". Mina said to him.

"Hmm".

"Now, eat your food already, it's getting cold". Mina said to Tyler.

"Aren't you also going to eat, mommy?". Tyler questioned.

Taylor and Tessa were both carried away by the delicious noodles, so they didn't say a word and focused on their food.

"Oh me?. Don't worry about me. I already had mine in the kitchen".

"You're lying again, aren't you, mommy?". Tyler isn't pleased. His mommy was always used to doing this. She didn't eat anything until she was sure that they already had enough to eat. "You can eat with me, I don't mind". When Taylor and Tessa heard what Tyler said, they stared at their bowls and saw that they had already finished theirs without considering sharing it with their mommy.

"No really…. It's okay". Mina tried her best to refuse him, but Tyler was stubborn this time around to let go. In the end, she ate his food with him.

"Are you sure you're not still hungry?". Mina asked Tyler again as she put him to bed. (Taylor and Tessa were already both asleep).

"I'm really fine mommy, you don't have to worry at all about me".

Seeing that Tyler admitted he was fine, she finally left the room.

"Mommy is really troublesome like a kid". He thought to himself before his stomach actually groaned because of hunger.

He didn't eat to his full because he had to share with Mina. But he cared less, he couldn't possibly let his mommy also sleep with an empty stomach. He can't even imagine that to ever happen.

"I love you, mommy". Tyler muttered before going to sleep.

It was the next morning, and Mina was already dressed in her best outfit.

"I must get a job as soon as possible". Mina encouraged herself once more, before coming out of her room.

"Eh…. When did you guys get up from bed?". She asked immediately when she saw Tyler, Taylor and Tessa standing in front of her room door.

"We woke up early to wish you best of luck, mommy. Don't be so surprised when you get a better job today". Tessa excitedly said to her mommy.

"Mmm. That's really sweet of you guys". Mina admitted. "But I was still going to wake you guys up after preparing your meal. I can't possibly just leave you guys like that, you know?".

"In that case, you cook fast and run off. I have a really good feeling that you're going to get an awesome job today". Taylor assured Mina.

"Yeah, my young bosses!". Mina said with a smile before hurrying to the kitchen.

"My kids are really the best…. But they should already know I won't get a better job since I didn't even get the opportunity to get admission into the university. Wait…. Should I just teach karate?. Tsk, that's the only thing I'm really good at". Mina even laughed at herself upon her thought. "Teaching karate?. That's really hilarious. I only learnt it in the first place so I'd be able to defend myself and my kids from enemies".
