"Please save my mother!. I'd do anything, but please save her life!". Mina pleaded to the doctor in charge of her mother's surgery.

"I'm sorry, there's nothing we can do. You have to pay for us to perform surgery for your mother. And time is running out".

Mina wasn't even listening to what the elder doctor said, she grabbed his shirt to plead even more for him to save her mother's life, but all that was of no use at all.

In the end, if she doesn't provide the money for her mother's treatment by tomorrow, her mother's life would be in great danger.

Cleaning up her tears, she entered the room where her mother was held. "Mom….". She called out in a low voice before going ahead to sit beside the bed.

"I'm sorry, Mina". She coughed out before continuing. "I'm a burden to you". Tears spilled out from Kira's eyes as she apologised to her daughter.

"You're never a burden to me, Mom. I promise you, I'll get the money for your surgery by tomorrow!". Mina announced to her mother before running out of the room. Kira didn't even have the opportunity to stop her because of how fast Mina ran out.

"I'm really sorry, my dear daughter. You shouldn't bother with the money…. I know my body better than anyone. I don't think I'm going to stay longer in this world again". Kira couldn't stop tearing up, staring above at the blank white ceiling. She hated herself right now because she was soon going to leave her daughter alone in this cruel world.

"Are you sure that you're up for the job, young lady?". The arrogant woman asked again.

"I'd do it!. Please, I need the money!".

"Fine. Come with me then, your customer won't arrive until 6pm". She announced, before turning behind her to stare at Mina again. "You're a pretty and young lady, you're a perfect match for him". Ellen was satisfied. But again she remembered something important that she hasn't yet told Mina.

"Look here. The person you're going to sell your body to, tonight, isn't any kind of ordinary person". Ellen's tone was harsh and serious, so it scared Mina. "You must be a virgin, and most importantly, don't dare to provoke him. Do you understand?". Ellen asked, causing Mina to nod immediately.

"This is for your own good. You're as good as gone if you dare to provoke someone like him, and when that really happens, don't even think about your payment".

"I understand". Mina already made up her mind and there was no backing down. "I have to endure this for my mother's sake. I won't let anything ever happen to you…. You're the most precious thing to me in this world!". Tears spilled out of her eyes upon her thought, but she was sure to clean it up immediately, she can't let Ellen see her in this state. She was scared that Ellen would send her away.

And so, Mina was dressed up in a proper manner because the clothes she wore before were torn, and looked really dirty. After that, she was led to a room, it was so grand that it really scared her.

Her heart wouldn't stop beating fast, while her hands gripped tightly on her new dress.

In just a matter of time, she would lose her virginity that she had planned to give to her unknown husband when they should get married.

Mina saw Ellen switch off the lights, leaving the room in a dark manner. Before Ellen left, she warned Mina not to switch on the light if she still values her life.

This caused Mina to think about the man that was going to steal her virginity. "I shouldn't think about something like this. It's for the best anyways". She thought, because she wouldn't like the man to see her face, that would only cause her to be greatly embarrassed of herself.

Before she knew it, the door swung open, she couldn't see the person's face because the whole room was dark, only a dim light was switched on. But she could tell that the man was really tall, with a well built body, because she could somehow see his stature even in the dark.

When the mysterious man approached her, he grabbed her clothes immediately like he was a beast, a hungry one at that. Mina could scent the strong alcohol smell coming from him, so she was sure that he was either drunk, or he had too much to drink.

"Please…. Gentle". She pleaded, but her pleading voice didn't have much effect on him.

It was a long night for Mina, but she was thankful that it was finally over.

When she woke up in the morning, the man was gone, and her body was left with light red bruises, most especially her neck, which happened to be her sensitive spot. But she cared less about it.

"I have to get to my mother and save her!". Beside the bed was a little wardrobe, she reached out and collected the check on top of it before rushing to stand up. "Ah". A groan escaped from her lips when she forced herself to get up. Her hips were really stressed out.

Mina rushed out of the bedroom in a hurry, luckily, the extra money that she got from the man would be hers, and she was glad that it would be enough for her mother's surgery.

"Thanks, Ma'am". Mina collected her old clothes before finally running off to the hospital with only one intention in her mind.

"Mother, wait for me!. I'm coming to save you!". She couldn't stop smiling with excitement until she arrived at the hospital.

When she met with the doctor, her heart shattered beyond repair, she fell to her knees and started tearing up. Her only hope that always kept her alive was no more!.

"You must be mistaken, doctor. My mother!, She can't be dead!. Please, here is the money, please save her. I got the money for the surgery…. You can take it. It's all yours!". She hurriedly passed the check to him.

"I'm really sorry for your loss". The doctor consoled her once more before giving back the check to her and on his way.

"I can't believe that you would leave me just like that, Mother?. How do you expect me to move on?!". Mina was crying endlessly, and because of this, she got the attention of all the people present in the hospital. Everyone pitied her, but no one among them was willing to console her.
