6. A Switch

The moment that the men picked me from the floor, it felt like the action triggered the fight in me. I kicked and screamed and scratched and did just about anything to be set free, but it was all wasted efforts.

They were far too big for me to cause any sort of damage on them and I was sure that they could knock me unconscious if they chose to do so.

I couldn’t believe that for the better part of the day I had found the Alpha attractive. Whatever it was that had caused that small thought in my mind was completely dead now and all I wanted to do was kill the man himself.

He was going to lock me up because I refused to be his sex slave? What kind of person was he? I didn’t think the Alpha would turn out to be this sort of person, he had seemed pretty decent on the hill, was that a pretense? But why would he have to pretend for any reason.

I got no answer to that question, instead I was shoved roughly into a dark room. My reduced senses couldn’t do much with helping me see better in the room but the stench of dried blood and urine was too strong even for my weakened senses.

“Let me out of here. What the hell is wrong with you? Let me go!” I began kicking out and screaming as the men began hooking me up to a string beam.

I couldn’t see any of it but soon I was pretty sure that I was suspended in the air with chains properly holding me up. My eyes had been blindfolded cutting off whatever I had been hoping to see in the darkness.

“Let’s hope this one’s mouth doesn’t get her killed before the end of the week.” I heard one of the men say and it only made me curse out even louder and harder.

My throat was starting to hurt from screaming that much but I didn’t let it deter me. I screamed every profanity I had in my vocabulary and it was a whole lot if I was being fair.

I heard the door click shut signaling that the men were out of the room but that didn’t stop me from continue to scream and curse out loudly asking to be let out.

I could feel my entire body start to sag from exhaustion. I knew that it had to be pretty late, maybe even far into the night by now but here I was, chained up and hung like a piece of sacrifice.

I let out another string of curse words before letting my head fall in defeat. I refused to let the tears out of my eyes even when they stung painfully. He didn’t deserve my tears and he had another thinking coming if he thought that he could break me into submission.

Jason, had tried to do it so many times and it only ended with a few scars on my end and him being very, very frustrated so I would love to see the Alpha king and try to break me down.

I could barely keep my eyes opened at this point. It could have been the exhaustion from having to work all evening for the feast of it could have been the stress from what the Alpha had put me through but even in my uncomfortable and painful position, I still felt myself drifting to sleep.

It was far from peaceful but at least it was a temporary escape from my harsh reality.

***

My nose tingled with a familiar scent and I released a sneeze the more I took in the scent. My entire body felt broken and even the little sneeze that I released threatened to break me.

I tried to open my eyes but it felt as if they had been glued together and my mouth tasted terrible.

I felt a presence in the room and it felt like they had their eyes trained on me, I finally forced open my eyes wincing when the action caused my head to bang even more.

The room was still bathed in complete darkness, only that this time it felt like I was able to adjust to the darkness quicker.

True to my instincts, there was a figure that was stood perched against the wall on the opposite end of the room. Their presence still surprised me even when I had initially felt them but when they only continued to watch me from the same spot, without moving or doing anything else, I felt curiosity begin to take over.

“W-who are you?” I asked, wincing my dry throat hurt as I spoke.

There was no feedback from the figure, they didn’t even sound like they heard me. They only remained in place and continued to watch me. I was too tired to try to figure out what was happening or who they were and although my eyes could now pick out some things in the darkness, it still wasn’t doing great. I wasn’t enjoying seeing life as blurry mess of black and grey.

My arms that were tied together and holding my entire frame up felt terrible and painful, my head hurt like something was been hit against it and the temperature in the room felt like a stable which made it worse. The food that I had eaten earlier was starting to regurgitate and I knew that I needed more sleep.

So ignoring the presence at the end of the wall, which could have well been a product of my imagination. I closed my eyes and had even began to drift off when the air around me changed once more.

Flipping my eyes open, I released a small scream when the presence was now standing directly in front of me.

It was the Alpha.

Why was he so damn quiet and acting so creepy? I thought he wanted to have my head, what was stopping him?

I was just about to ask some questions or better still start cussing him out again but he beat me to it.

“It’ll be best if you listen to him. For your own good.” He said and before I could say anything else, he turned around and walked away from the room, shutting the door before clicking the lock in place.

Now, his words had definitely confused me, but what confused me even more had been the way that his eyes had changed colored.

It had been so noticeable that even in the dark I had been able to see the switch.

What did he mean with his words, in fact, what the hell had just happened?

I take it was his wolf talking to her in the dungeon. I still think she is his mate. The difference is she an Omega instead of a lady in waiting
