Adam’s POV

“I’ll snap your neck, you piece of shit,” I hold Baxter against the wall. He is such a weakling, I don’t even need Bruce.

Bruce- But I want to be a part of his death.

Me- Get in line.

“Emma” Augustus mummers out as they all stare at her head.

“You can’t kill me,” Baxter laughs and then he puts his hand on my shoulder, the way he has many times to the king.

Bruce- Magic, he is using magic. RESIST HUMAN!

Me- Take over.

Bruce’s POV

I can’t help but smirk as my human gives me control.

“Lycan’s don’t react well to magic we go mad, or we give up. Our mate is special, she gives us untold strength,” I say to the wizard in my grasp. I lift him off the floor, so we are looking into each other’s eyes. “You are why, Caesar my King, is so restless. I can fix that.”

I squeeze, cutting off his air flow. I keep squeezing. Emma was our nurse, she raised Caesar and I. Before we were awake, we knew Emma. The caretaker of our humans.
