GIANNA

I bit my lips and stared off into space as the nightmare I had the previous night replayed continually in my head. Every picture that appeared into my head sent me goosebumps down my spine. The first dream was just confusing, but the second one was terrifying. I never wanted to feel lost or unseen, and that was exactly how I felt in that dream.

“Gianna!” Enzo’s concerned voice cut into my thoughts, making me flinch in surprise.

I turned my head towards him and I could see the worry and concern written all over his face. “Sis, what is wrong? Why are you so pale?”

At first, I was confused as to when Enzo appeared beside me, but after looking around, I realized that we were both sitting at the dining table and our breakfast had even been served.

What was wrong with me? Was I so shaken by a nightmare that I didn’t even realize where I was. This needed to stop. It was only a dream.

Seeing that he was still awaiting my response, I forced out a smile to reduce his worries. “Sorry. I didn’t realize I zoned out. I was just thinking about a dream I had last night. You don’t need to worry.”

“Really? Do you want to talk about it? You know you can talk to me about anything. I’ll support you even if you have to kill someone.”

I froze staring at him open mouthed. “What?”

He stared at me seriously for a while before he burst out laughing. “You should have seen your face.” He said in between laughs.

I couldn’t help the giggle that escaped my mouth at his antics.

His face turned serious soon though. “Obviously I wouldn’t let you get your own hands dirty. I'll do the killing myself. All that blood and gore shouldn’t be seen by your innocent eyes.”

Wait what??

I just changed the subject. I didn’t want him going on a killing spree for me at all. Although the thought that he would do so made me feel a bit better. I wasn’t alone anymore.

“There is no need. You don’t have to worry about me. It was just a dream and I was a little shaken up is all. I’m feeling much better now though.”

He didn’t look convinced but seeing that I had begun to eat, he decided not to pursue the matter. My body relaxed in relief.

We both ate our breakfast in a comfortable silence. Afterwards, he kissed me on the head and bid me goodbye after he was summoned for an urgent meeting.

I decided to take a stroll in the garden to clear my head and get a breath of fresh air as well as some alone time, but I barely stayed there for a moment before an excited squeal interrupted me.

“Gianna! I found you.”

A smile immediately appeared on my face at the sound of that bubbly voice. I made to turn but before I could do so, I was engulfed in a warm hug.

“Nalia! You’re here.”

“Of course, I am. I couldn’t leave you high and dry after I promised to make you look absolutely stunning for your date today.” She replied, wiggling her eyebrows in an attempt to tease me.

I grimaced. “It’s not a date. He’s just coming over to see me with the permission of my brother.”

“Yeah, yeah. I hear you. Keep telling yourself that.”

I wanted to keep arguing but she didn’t give me a chance as she changed the topic, while she pulled my arm and led me back to my room.

“By the way, where is Alpha Vincenzo?”

“You know you can just call him Enzo while we’re alone right?”

She chuckled. “I respect him way too much to ever do that even when he’s not here.”

“Well, he got called in for some sort of urgent meeting. I don’t know what that’s about.” I could feel her entire body deflate.

My brow immediately arched upward. Why did she look so sad all of a sudden? By now, we had arrived at my room so I stopped her from opening the door, and turned her towards myself.

“What’s the matter? Did you perhaps want to see him for something important? You can tell me, I'll make sure to relay your message.

“No. That is not it.” She changed the subject again. She was pretty good at that. “Let’s go get you ready. We wouldn’t want your date to meet you in such plain attire.”

She seemed to not want to continue the talk, so I smiled back at her and allowed her to lead me to the room where she began to dismantle my walk-in closet.

After what seemed like the longest modelling session ever, alongside a scattered closet, and a simple makeup appointment, I was dolled up and ready to go, according to what Nalia said.

Looking in the mirror, I had to admit that I looked different. A good kind of different. But I didn’t want it to seem like I was doing too much, so I took off some of the jewellery Nalia made me wear, then wiped off a bit of make up from my face.

Nalia circled around me gushing and squealing, but we were interrupted when one of the pack members came to inform me of Alpha Bryan’s arrival.

Nalia smirked as she began another exhausting round of teasing, so much that I found my cheeks growing hot as the images of the things she said started to appear in my head.

I didn’t really feel anything during the whole dress up, but as I descended the stairs and made my way to the meeting hall, I could feel my heart pounding in my chest.

I felt nervous for some reason. As soon as I got there, the first thing I noticed was how handsome he looked, followed by the beautiful bouquet of flowers he held in his hand.

He smiled charmingly as he approached me. “You look beautiful, Gia. Can I call you Gia?” He asked, looking quite unsure.

I smiled and nodded. My heart thumped when he grinned.

His eyes seemed to twinkle along with his smile and I found myself getting drawn in, despite telling myself repeatedly the day before that I was going to stay away from males to avoid another heartbreak.

The sound of a throat clearing snapped me out of my thoughts, and my cheeks immediately turned red as I realized that Nalia had watched me drool over Alpha Enzo in a daze.

She most definitely would not let me live it down.

“Before you guys move from eye fucking each other to actually doing the deed right here, I’m leaving.”

Embarrassment like no other engulfed me and I wanted nothing more than to bury myself six feet underground. I would make sure to take Nalia with me for saying that out loud. How embarrassing.

Wait though? What does she mean? I thought I was the only one in a daze. Was he also checking me out? Before I could ask her anything, she was out of the door.

“Shall we go?” I looked back at him and was confused at how he could remain absolutely unfazed with all the teasing.

He only kept a warm smile on his face as he held out his elbow for me to link my arm into.

I smiled back and took his hand, but I froze in horror when I heard that familiar voice I hated. A voice of someone I had once loved so much. Marco.

“She’s not going anywhere with you.”

NALIA’S POVKalen barged into the room, and he was furious. He was also in wolf form, so I knew it would be harder to reason with him. He immediately lunged at Enzo, going straight for the kill, aiming at Enzo’s neck. Enzo dodged, and prepared to shift and battle Kalen, but I got in between them.“Kalen, stop. Now.” I said, and he growled at me, with his eyes still fixed on Enzo.“Kalen. Please. I need you to listen to me. Shift back so we can talk.”“Nalia, why are you begging him? Move out of the way. I can handle him. This is the male whose scent is all over you. I will make sure he regrets forcing himself on you, and hurting you.” Enzo growled.“He didn’t force himself on me, Enzo.”“So you’re saying he’s a good male? Is that it? You’re defending him?”“No, Enzo. I never said he was good. Sure, he kidnapped me. And he also did some things that aren’t nice, like locking me in a cell. But what he didn’t do was force himself on me. Blame him for the things he did, not the things he d

NALIA’S POVKissing Kalen made my whole body tingle. He let me take the lead at the beginning, but he quickly lost his composure and took over the kiss. I could do nothing but whimper, as he devoured my lips. I heard a ripping sound, as he tore the clothes he had dressed me in off me.With one hand at the back of my neck, he used the other to touch every inch of me till I was dripping and shaking.“Kalen, please.” I moaned, and he chuckled.“Please what, my mate? What do you need?”“You. Inside me, now.”“Your wish is my command.”We lay in bed together after, till it was dark outside. I was asleep when I heard a commotion coming from outside, and Kalen immediately woke up from beside me. “What’s wrong?” I asked as he got off the bed with a frown on his face.“An attack at my east border. My patrol needs back up. Some of my best are down, waiting for me to lead them there. Stay here. I’ll check it out and be back.” He said and left.He didn’t bother locking the door, and that showed

  • Omega Rejects Her Possessive Alpha   Compromise

KALEN’S POV“So what? I should make peace with your Alpha and allow myself to come under his rule? Is that it? Why would I do that when I can be the leader? Why should I set myself up to take orders from him? Why should I lay myself at his feet?” I asked as I laughed.I watched the hope on her face deflate, and she lost her smile. That made me feel an emotion I haven’t felt in a while, guilt. She had actually been happily considering this alternative. I understand that she was trying to prevent a war in order not to lose her old pack members, but collateral damage was inevitable. I’ve been planning this out for years, and my pack, and plans are finally close to completion. I’ll admit that she was right. I was bred with my father’s resentment and anger, and maybe I made it my own. It’s all I;ve ever known. The thought of one day reclaiming my rightful place as pack Alpha was what kept me going a lot of times when I wanted to just give up on living a life of exile. So if I don’t have t

  • Omega Rejects Her Possessive Alpha   Her Suggestion

NALIA’S POV“Enzo is our Alpha. Nothing you do will change that. Invading will only make you the enemy. And I believe in my pack. I believe we’re strong enough to win a battle against you and your rogues. But there’s no need for such baseless bloodshed. War is never a good thing.” I can’t believe I have to even tell him this. How could war be a better option to him? And I was serious. I do believe that my pack would win a fight against Kalen’s rogues, but I also know that it wouldn’t come easy. There would be a great loss. And I’d rather not have to bury so many from my pack. We’re family.“So, what would you have me do, mate? What solution would appease you?” He asked me and I stared at him for several seconds to see if he was actually interested in listening to my idea, or if he was just messing with me.“Do you really want to hear it? Or are you just telling me what I want to hear?”“I actually want to know what your solution is. It doesn’t mean I’ll take it, but I’d still like

  • Omega Rejects Her Possessive Alpha   After Battle, Then What?

KALEN’S POV“You’re still talking about this? That’s crazy. It’s not Enzo’s fault that you ended up here. And besides, what’s your plan then? If you succeed in taking over the pack for real? Will you merge rogues and others? How do you think they can co-exist? It will be a bloodbath.” She asked me, and I stared at her for several seconds because I didn’t have an answer that would satisfy her.Finding out I had a mate had been a shock. I never expected the goddess to grant me a mate because of all the crimes I had committed and planned to commit. I wanted her so much that I stole her from her pack, but now, I’m beginning to wonder if that had been a bad idea. It seemed the goddess granted me Nalia as my mate to test me. She had only been here for a short time, yet, she was testing my patience and resolve so much.I wasn’t used to being disobeyed this way. After taming so many rogues and having them under my command, I was used to being in charge. Nalia challenged me at every turn. She

  • Omega Rejects Her Possessive Alpha   Talk

NALIA’S POV“It’s a pack, and it’s mine. I do not abide by the laws that govern your pack, so therefore, you can’t call my pack unsanctioned. I operate outside your jurisdiction.” He replied, and I scoffed.“It’s like committing murder, and saying it’s not a crime because you’re not a pack member. What’s wrong is wrong. Packs are sanctioned for a reason, to make sure the quality of life of eveyrone is assured. Here, you’re basically just a tyrant. Are you in charge of those cannibal rogues that have been going around?” I asked him, and stared at his face, just to see if he would lie to my face.Would I even be able to read his intentions if he even lied to me? I doubt it. I haven’t known him that long. Besides, he has shown so far that he doesn’t really care about me. Just the idea of me i guess. He likes having a mate. But he doesn’t want to actually put the work into making the relationship work. This was the difference between him and Enzo. Enzo and I had our problems, but at the e
