Xander’s POV

I stared at Zeth.

“Where is Ashton and Akim?”

The question hit me harder than the pain in my ribs.

I turned toward the pyre. They were gone.

The ropes that had bound Ashton’s wrists were cut. They lay in the sand like shed skin. The wooden frame was broken apart, splinters scattered across the ground. And there was no sign of either of them. No small footprints. No trail of blood. Nothing but absence.

I walked toward the broken wood, and every step sent a fresh wave of pai

  • Omega of Two Packs   The Missing Page

Ashton’s POVThe foul, burning stench of wet ash and curdled blood filled the courtyard before the dust from Brenda’s shadow-arrow had even begun to settle.Above us, the magnificent golden-and-silver dome that had shielded the hidden valley for days shuddered violently, a web of jagged black cracks sprawling outward from the fracture like shattered ice.The original fracture widened, and pieces of the glowing ward broke away into the air before dissolving into black smoke. Beyond it, the narrow stone ledges high along the mountain face became visible. A figure stood on one of those ledges, looking down at us through the spreading darkness. The sacred quiet of the hidden clan was torn to shreds in a single, brutal heartbeat as the surrounding cliff ledges erupted into chaos.Xander had passed Akim to Alaric moments earlier, trusting the High Priest to keep him close while the kings prepared to defend the valley."Defensive formation!" Xander roared, his voice cutting through the risi

  • Omega of Two Packs   Brenda’s Attack

Xander’s POVThe silence following Alaric’s revelation hung thick over the courtyard, anchored by the torn edge of the parchment scroll.I looked at the jagged paper, then at the ancient carvings etched into the surrounding valley walls. The missing page—where the final stanza had been ripped away centuries ago—felt like a phantom shadow hanging over our heads. But standing here with my family, looking at the glowing silver-and-gold canopy hovering above us, I knew we couldn't afford to waste time chasing ghosts. We had to deal with the threat right in front of us.Elder Dauz stepped past the fallen scroll, his old robes sweeping the stone as he walked up to the edge of the dais. His pale eyes were fixed entirely on Akim, filled with a deep, fathomless weight."Do not let the missing stanza cloud your sight, High Priest," Dauz said softly, his voice deep and resonant, cutting straight through Alaric’s anxious breathing. "The scroll records what was written, but what stands before us

  • Omega of Two Packs   The Child of the Dawn

Zeth’s POVI leaned my back against one of the carved pillars, trying to keep my posture loose, my arms crossed lazily over my chest. My boots were planted hard into the grass, every tendon in my neck pulled taut as a bowstring, and my inner Sun Alpha was on high alert, scanning every robed figure standing along the perimeter of the ancient courtyard."You can relax your jaw, Zeth," Xander muttered quietly from my left. He was standing shoulder-to-shoulder with me, looking like a statue of iron and Moon-wolf grit, though his broad hand was resting over Ashton's hip to keep his own nerves anchored. "It's a blessing ritual, not an execution.""I'm relaxed," I drawled, flipping a small wooden pebble between my knuckles without looking at him. "Just making sure these old spell-singers don't drop any strange dust on my son. If one of those blue candles sparks the wrong way, I'm burning the lawn down."Ashton let out a soft, breathy chuckle, leaning his head sideways against my shoulder for

  • Omega of Two Packs   The White Wolf's Legacy

Ashton’s POVThe air inside the open-air training terrace hummed with a sharp, electric snap that tasted like ozone and winter rain.High above us, the natural crystal dome of the hidden valley caught the midday sun, refracting beams of golden light down across the smooth obsidian stones. My paws felt light against the ground—lighter than they had ever felt in my life. Stripped of the heavy, suffocating containment seal my mother had forged into my soul, my white wolf form felt entirely different. The old, dull ache that used to drag at my spine was completely gone, replaced by a deep, resonant thrum of power that pulsed right beneath my pelt in time with my heartbeat."Do not force the magic, Consort," Elder Dauz’s voice echoed gently across the stone terrace. He stood near the edge of the low stone wall, his human form wrapped in woven linens, watching me with quiet, unblinking patience. "Magic is not a weapon to be swung like a sword. It is breath. It is light. You do not command

  • Omega of Two Packs   The Awakening

Ashton’s POV"If we are to have any hope of facing the impending threat, the White Wolf must be fully activated."Elder Dauz’s voice broke the quiet of the subterranean sanctuary, rich and heavy with ancient weight. He stood across from me, his long, thread-bound robes dragging softly over the worn mosaic tiles."I felt the residual shockwaves when High Priest Alaric tried to push your magic back at the palace," Dauz continued, his eyes locking onto mine with an unyielding intensity. "He meant well, but forcing an unsealed mark is like trying to draw water from a dammed river. It was chaotic. Incomplete. Today, we complete the ritual the right way—the way of our ancestors."The silver basin sat between us, filled to the brim with clear spring water that hummed with a quiet, luminescent blue light. Around us, the massive roots of the great oak stretched up into the shadow-draped ceiling, breathing out the rich scent of cedar, crushed herbs, and ancient earth. The lingering tension fro

  • Omega of Two Packs   The Creature's Truth

Xander POVBefore the old man could say another word, the heavy, sap-scented air inside the roots of the grand oak tree suddenly turned to ice.It wasn't a natural mountain draft. It was the suffocating, dead-cold vacuum that always preceded the dark—the same terrible drop in temperature we had felt in the Aurion sanctuary right before the dark wood broke through our floorboards. My hand didn't think; it reacted. In a fraction of a heartbeat, my broadsword cleared the leather scabbard with a sharp, screaming hiss of steel. The blade caught the amber sunlight filtering through the golden leaves above, throwing a fierce silver arc across the stone floor.I shoved Ashton and the boys behind my broad shoulders, dropping into a fighting stance. My teeth bared as my inner Moon Alpha rose to the surface, ready to tear apart whatever nightmare had followed us through the Sun-Gate."Xander, wait…" Ashton breathed, his fingers catching the edge of my tunic. The shadows near the vaulted root-arc
