Kieran's POV

I wasn't sure how long I was out, but when I woke up, it was very dark. My head throbbed like it wanted me out of it immediately. My body ached from the punches I had received, and I groaned in pain.

Immediately I sat up, my mind went to Nyx, and I panicked. I really went unconscious without knowing the fate of my mate. How could I?

I ran out of the bedroom with a strength I never knew I had, and there she was, in the hallway, busy with her phone. She looked so beautiful and mysterious, and as I heaved a sigh of relief, she turned to look at me.

“Kieran!” She screamed, running towards me faster than I could run.

I caught her in my arms midway, and I rolled her in the air. She hugged me so tightly that I could feel her body dissolving into mine, and I absolutely loved it.

“I'm so sorry,” I muttered. “I'm so frigging sorry.”

“Why are you sorry?” She asked, wrapping her hands tighter. “You scared me too badly.”
