Atticus POV

I followed Alex out of the room and down the long corridor in silence for a few long moments. She abruptly stops and turns towards me with a dangerous glare. "Why are you here Atticus?" She almost growls. "I already told you, I am looking for information on how to save my mate. " I respond truthfully. Her eyes turn to slits before she reaches for my throat. She lifts me off the ground with ease but I remain calm. I cannot show fear. If I show fear then she can use it against me. She can use it as a weakness. "She will die. It is her only destiny. She will die at the hands of Esther and nobody can stop that. Not even you." She says
