I sniffed as I shoved the final cracker into my mouth. Everyone had completed their meals peacefully, and Gigi offered to clean all the dishes. She returned with a light match and lit seven candles in the main room. It was almost dark outside, and the candlelight cast a warming, comfortable warmth that was just strong enough to have seen by.
"I'm going to look for a book to read. Isn't there a bookcase in the library section?" I inquired.
Peter gave a nod. "Yeah, together with a billiard table," he continued, his gaze fixed on Justine. "Would you like to see how well we perform in the dark? I'm sure I can still pound your a$$e$."
"Dumbass, don't put too much faith in yourself. Ricky muttered. "You're such a dickhead, you know."
Peter sighed and rolled his eyes. "Prick. I'm only stating the obvious."
Ricky laughed, but Justine merely smiled. "I don't belie
Justine and I had been strolling for a very long period, and there were roughly a dozen acres in front of us. All of the lights were turned out, which surprised me because I had anticipated them to be switched on, and the front door was open. There was a bright orange tractor-trailer in the yard, but it didn't appear to have been used in a long time. The lawn and vegetation were drab and unkempt, and the front lawn was primarily made up of tangled cedar trees. A semicircular veranda runs up through the front entrance, but an end has a mahogany veranda glider. It's been pulled from the rafters in places, and it swings at a strange angle, whinging backward and forward between. But, beyond everything, it was not what piqued my interest. I saw Justine huffing fiercely by my side and cast a peek at him."Yeah, I see that as well," he remarked quietly.I returned my gaze to the property, focusing on the enormous
"Wait, what was that?" I said softly as I saw Justine return from the kitchen. He reappeared with a spare flashlight, six additional batteries, two packs of matches, as well as the man's handgun. There was also a box of ammunition and cartridges in a desktop computer close to the entrance, which Justine placed into the backpack with the rest of his belongings. Then he nodded and gave me a small indigo box filled with something that I assumed was handwritten lettering. We saw a lot of unusual stuff written on it as he sat down behind me. I groaned as I scrutinized the paper attentively, recognizing it was similar to a journal.Day 15, 2022 of AugustEveryone was sick and infected. My wife was bitten but she hasn’t still turned into a rotten. The entire New York City was congested, and everyone diminished. I could not see any people anymore other than from the rotten. I raided Trader Joe’s and Walter
I sidled up against Justine's abdomen, and he bowed his head downwards and whispered into my ears. "Would you mind relaxing?"Justine pushed us backward and forward between slowly, but neither of us said anything else other than that. That's a positive thing since I need enough time to contemplate. I've been feeling increasingly compelled to Justine in the last several days for reasons I don't understand. This was also new to me, and I'd never felt anything like this before, not even with my ex-boyfriend Jeremy. Justine had just had my interest and attention, and he was giving me these small butterflies in my tummy.Justine was the only one who frustrates me while also protecting me. Justine was always willing to keep us alive, and Justine has saved my life countless times since meeting him, all without expecting anything in return. And even if there were any other single men on the planet, no matter how hunky and attractive he
I accompanied Peter without saying anything, and I believe he recognized I was not even in the mood for discussion since he didn't protest. He simply walked to a sheltered site surrounded by enormous trees approximately three and a half moments' walking from the military compound, and he laid his weapon in the meadow and decided to sit beside it.I seated next to him, and Peter showed me how to place a crawler on a hook. It appeared barbarous and terrible for the insect, and he simply chuckled. "Clementia, that was a worm. I'm certain it doesn't have any emotions at all or anything."I mimicked Peter's every step, and before long, my stinger was in the stream, and the two of us were anxiously waiting for a nibble. I wasn't sure whether there would be any fishes substantial enough just to feed this close to the beach, but I also didn't want to pinpoint a raft to take out onto the lake, especially after what happened to me the la
When I opened my lips and grasped for words, Justine peered at me with his penetrating eyes. "Don't just condemn yourself. I misplaced my handgun as well, and you might not have become so preoccupied if I hadn't shrieked. So, if you're going to blame anybody here, it should have been me, you know. I am the main cause we were stranded in a canopy with no food, just one water bottle, and no weaponry at all."Justine let out a collective sigh. "I just needed to express my gratitude.""You're meant to chastise me, not thank me," I said to him, frowning.“No. Thank you for coming to my aid. That was a rapid movement with the sneaker. If you hadn't tossed it when you did, I'd be the main dish at a bad meal."I unsteadily sniggered; it seemed like a reasonable alternative than sobbing. "There's nothing like laughing in the face of death, is there?" Justine grunted and nodded solemnly aga
“Clementia! Justine! Where are you?”A recognizable echoing not too far from us jolted me awake a couple of minutes later. I blinked my eyes numerous times, wondering how long we had been up here around.Justine sat up upright on his perch. “Peter!”"Where are you, Justine?" that was Ricky’s voice."I'm here up in an oak tree. Seven rotting down the ranks has wedged us down!"There had been a scrambling commotion, and Peter sprang into visibility. He took a gander with one of the weapons he was carrying. He fired the rifle four times, and five of the six rotten has dropped instantaneously. His sixth bullet misses laterally and shattered a piece of the tree's timber, but his seventh penetrated exactly between each of the temples. His last bullet blasted out the underside of the left-standing rotten's cranium and ripped off the remaining rotten's snout. With most of the ro
Peter was looking at me with a look of shock and rage on his expression. I could see he wanted to scream at me, but he could not even, since it would reveal his presence from the shrubbery, something he couldn't manage just now. So Peter merely specifically looked at his weapon, and I tried to shake my head at him without George having o realize it.He can somehow shoot and kill George, but he'd be killed before he could draw the gun anymore. He realized this and relaxed his shoulders, so I'm not afraid about him blasting up the property. He'd choose the optimum timeframe for a confrontation, which wasn't obvious right now or immediately there."Will you let everyone go and survive if I go gladly with you?" My demeanor was sharp when I questioned George. For a brief while, George contemplated my proposal. "Hmm, you are correct. I need women and am prepared to sacrifice for them. If there was anybody else I needed here, it wa
My tongue was parched, and I was suffering from a migraine, so my heart was beating. My respiration was rapid and laborious, and George had just informed me that I was running a temperature.I hadn't discharged any bodily fluids in a long time, which was neither a positive omen nor an indicator that I would withstand this. My system quenches thirst, and I would die horribly in a short span of time due to dehydration and starvation.A quick glance at Diana revealed that she, too, was not going to endure much further. She's become just as reticent as Gigi, but for various reasons. She was delirious as she spoke, and her utterance was stammering.I'm scared she'll end up dying before she can be damaged if she doesn't receive water quickly. But I also understand that George will not allow such a thing. He loved her too much to let her die of dehydration. George drew my attention with a snap of his knuckle
