Chapter Twelve
As soon as Peter said that I rose from where I was lying down and followed him. Of course, I was delighted to know that Ricky was already awake. And when we got there, I saw both Justine and Gigi standing surrounding Ricky. I walked beside them and examined Ricky who was sitting uncomfortably on the bunker bed.
“How are you feeling?” Justine asked.
Ricky did not say anything at first and he just roamed his eyes around us until it stopped to Gigi. And that’s when several questions came to my mind. I honestly don’t know what their relations are. Although I tried asking Gigi about that the last time, and she just gave me a vague answer. So, I figured out they don’t want to talk about that.

I went into the bathroom first thing in the morning, along with a bottle of hydrogen peroxide, a cotton swab, and a new bandage and gauze. I spotted the wound on my lower leg after stripping away the previous bandage. When I went scavenging, I almost forgot I had this. When I looked down at my wound, I noticed it was a reddish-brown hue and gently swelled up whenever I touched it. The injury was mending, but I don't want to risk it becoming infected. Justine and I had been strolling for a very long period, and there were roughly a dozen acres in front of us. All of the lights were turned out, which surprised me because I had anticipated them to be switched on, and the front door was open. There was a bright orange tractor-trailer in the yard, but it didn't appear to have been used in a long time. The lawn and vegetation were drab and unkempt, and the front lawn was primarily made up of tangled cedar trees.
