Chapter Twenty Two

I accompanied Peter without saying anything, and I believe he recognized I was not even in the mood for discussion since he didn't protest. He simply walked to a sheltered site surrounded by enormous trees approximately three and a half moments' walking from the military compound, and he laid his weapon in the meadow and decided to sit beside it.

I seated next to him, and Peter showed me how to place a crawler on a hook. It appeared barbarous and terrible for the insect, and he simply chuckled. "Clementia, that was a worm. I'm certain it doesn't have any emotions at all or anything."
