I couldn't help but stare at Willow throughout our ride to the bear kingdom. How could she have kept so much from me? Then again, thinking of it, would I have believed her? Knowing she was my fated and the fact that our bond refused to break, would I have thought she wasn't trying to get rid of Aida? I could understand her fear.

Leeana had slept off, and Willow tried her best to avoid making eye contact with me. I deliberately picked the bus so the four of us would sit facing each other. I leaned forward and reached for her slender hand. She looked at me in shock, and I smiled at her.

"Can't I touch your hand?" I asked her, and she looked around. She looked at Leeana, who was deep in sleep and at Luis.

"I will make it right, Willow. I promise, just hang in there for me," I told her, and she looked confused.

"When we return, you and I need to talk," I said and let go of her hand. I didn't want to let go of her hand. A calming peace washed through me when I touched her
