Once Upon A Sweetheart

 The academic session in Sevilla, Spain, ended two days ago. Most of the boarding students in Rowland High have left the school premises and returned to meet with their loved ones at home.

 The School Authority of Rowland High school has officially announced that a day grace has been extended to the dormitory to be officially locked up, so students still remaining are advised to hasten up to leave the school premises before the said date expires. 

 For Nick Raymond, he has vacated his dormitory, on the said day Rowland High school officially closed its academic session. Nick's birthday is just 5 days in front, and much pressure is on him. 

 He wants his birthday to be the talk of the town as always, and he wants to impress his seniors and the rest of other students.

 This is his first birthday, he is to organise himself without the supervision of his parents.

 Nick also has a supportive bestie who is always there to help, he is no other person than his classmate Stad. He is truly his most cherished and valued friend. 

 Stad has given his time, his energy even his resources into the Nick's birthday project for it to make it happen as planned. 

 One good aspect of stad is that he is  never seen as being sluggish, he is a goal setter, a goal getter, putting his mind and his complete heart into Nick's birthday preparation as if it was his own birthday party. Stad is that kind of a friend, everyone needs to have.

 With the solid arrangements on the ground, Nick believes his birthday will be frosh. He has also employed the services of an expert with 5 years experience in event planning to still support and assist with the project in making it a reality and her name is Stirley.

 This one is not just any birthday in the town, it is the birthday of the only heir and son of a multi-billionaire.  So everything must fall in their right place, must be superb as expected.

 Nick has a large hectare of land occupying several furnished apartments and buildings in Cadiz, Spain. So he decides to lodge there interimly, instead of returning home to Casablanca, in a quick hurry. He invites Stad over to his quarter, and they made his own private cafeteria their meeting point.

"Cheers, to the good life and to better days ahead" says Nick. A toast with their glass of cups.

"Thanks to our birthday boy, long life and prosperity to you Nick," replied Stad, feeling happy.

"In just three days time, you will be plus one, many more graces and abundant prosperity follows you, as always" said stud, just marveling at how time flies so fast.

"My friend, you can say that over and over again, time surely waits for no one, yours is a few months to come and it will be special like mine. That I owe you and I promise" replied Nick, making some affirmation and confirmation.

 Nick emotions set in.

 Nick looks at the caller, on his phone screen, "Stirley is the one calling?" said Nick, surprised at the timeliness and the perfect synchronization and all of these things happening at the same thing is a coincidence.

 "Then go ahead and pick the call, don't waste any more time". Stand was just too anxious, the same as Nick.

"What's up Stirley" said Nick, who is even more super active than even Superman.

"I'm just a little nervous and anxious, that's all,"replied Nick, saying the words out as emotions are intertwined, being happy and at the same time sad.

"Please don't be worried, your birthday plans are in safe hands. I'm in control of all of this, that is what I am assuring you" replied confident Stirley, because she has put all her arrangements and they are all in order and falling into place.

"Okay, if you say so" replies Nick, now more optimistic than pessimistic. These words from stirley, are the words that soothes the inner body, soul and mind all three packed in one.

"If you wouldn't mind, can I come over to see you….  So I can tell you the breakdown of the plan and execution for the final and the last time" she makes the request politely as these were things considered confidential that need not to be said  over the phone.

"That's not a problem for me, you may start coming over" 

Call drops. [Stirley lives in Beja in Portugal, she chose to use any available public transportation to get to Cadiz]

"Yea, I heard her words over the phone so loud and clear", 'and damn her voice is so sweet' Stad already tripping at her he continues to speak,"and from the words spoken, I see some elements of confidence, truth, and to crown it all conviction. In summary if I am allowed to speak I believe that everything is in order my guy" Stad picks up the conversation from where stirley just dropped it.

"Hmm, but you know that what you just did now is considered rude, eve dropping at other people's conversation which is said on the phone" Nick replies wearing a frown looking face.

"C'mon dude, please don't spoil the mad fun. I am here with you now, in this beautiful cafeteria. I'm just too worried sick about the whole thing, like it mustn't fail from the plan to the execution as we can't do anything substandard, bla bla bla. 

  You also know that it is your first time arranging your birthday party for the past 18 years now. I want you to give your Mom and dad, the greatest surprise ever of their life, so your parents know you are now a fully grown man. What I am only doing is that I just got your back in all of this". replied Stad, a little bit disappointed at Nick's words said to him, and Nick's failing to understand him either. 

  "Buddy, it was all a prank. I'm just pranking you. How are you feeling now you know it was just a prank. I hope you are okay. My best buddy ever. I said a few words to you, and you replied this many words back to me, let's have more drinks to victory and successes" Nick replies, cooling the tense atmosphere, he initially instigated, by providing the table  with sips of drinks and liquor.

  Minch has received a special invitation from the event planner Stirling, also. 

  [Minch and her friend lives in Albacete, in Spain] To be the special guest of honour at Nick's birthday. Her assignment was simple and at the same time complicated. Her duties and responsibilities are for her to accompany Nick to his birthday and venues and ceremonially act as his girlfriend too. Minch doesn't see any of this as a big deal, and besides she has no serious school activity scheduled for that same day, so Minch agrees to Stirley's contract agreement. Not getting to know the full objective clause in the contract she has just signed in.

  Minch attends a vocational college in the field of science in Murcia far away from Seville in Spain, a few weeks from her graduation. She soon is coming out from the vocational college with flying colours, very likely she will be awarded an all expense paid scholarship to a high school of her choice.
