Scott took the train back to Central City and tried to gather info from the news and gossips on what had happened between the rich Houston's and Smith's since he left. He couldn't gather much so he went to his house and found out that it was empty. All his things weren't inside.
"Are you Mr. Scott?" Someone asked and he turned to look at a man in his late 40s standing behind him.
"Yes, that's me," Scott said.
"I'm the owner of this building, I can show you where your things were stored," the man said.
"You mean you own this place?" Scott asked.
"Well, technically it was sold to me a few weeks back but I forgot to change the lock that's why you are still able to enter it," the man explained.
"No that's not my point, why are my things not here?" Scott asked.
"I just told you that I was sold this place," the man repeated.
