Chapter Seventy Four- The Perfect Hour

The rooftop was a secluded area with soft, soothing music echoing in the background. There were two chairs and a small table with spherical shaped red lights decorating the place. Nick slid his arm around her waist as they walked to the table.

“Oh my God! This is really beautiful, you know how I love it.” She whined as they sat on the chair.

“I had to put up my best to ensure there was no fault.” He smirked. “Have a drink.”

He poured her a glassful of her favourite red wine, clinked glasses with her as they drank up.

“This tastes really good.” She licked the wine from her lips.

“You taste even better.” He set the glass down and ogled at her.

“You're so flirty.” She giggled. “I can't believe we're over all of this.”

“You made this right, Cass. I would never have bothered about stepping down for Marc as long as we were fine. I'm sorry you got yourself injured in the process but in the end, it's just a memory.”
