Lisa's POV:

The next morning, I wake up refreshed. The sun is streaming in through the cracks in the curtains and the birds are chirping loudly. A yawn slips from my lips as I sit up in the bed. The talk with Alex changed things for me. Now, don't get me wrong I still despise him, but I just didn't feel like he would smother me with a pillow in my sleep. His wife, on the other hand, would kill me any chance she got.

I wasn't too worried about it though, with my recent new found powers, I felt stronger. My wolf talked to me much more often, much to my displeasure. She had even asked me to shift once or twice, but as much as I tried there was something that just wouldn't let me. It felt like a part of me was missing, like I didn't even have the ability to shift.

    Lisa's POV:Panic strikes my core as I watch Alex's head lull to the side. I knew he wasn't dead, but it wouldn't be long before he was."Why are you doing this!" I screech, pulling against the invisible restraints."I told you before, Lisa." The demon bellows, "I have my orders and I must abide by them. I don't feel anyone in that room. Now that I think about it, I haven't seen Adam in quite a few days."Alex rolls his eyes and snaps, "That doesn't mean anything. Maybe he went back to his pack.""No Alex, you don't understand." I huff, "That man has been glued to my arm for the past month and now all of a sudden he's gone? Especially when he claims that he wants to protect me?""It doesn't mean anything," he spits, turning away from me, "What?
