NARRATIVE

Brenda leaned back on her seat as she listened to John give her all the information about her younger brother's activities these few days_what he was aware of though.

"I can't believe he's risking it all for this girl yet she's not even responding positively. Do I have to intervene and scream it into her ears that Carlo has been saving and protecting both her and her company from reaching rock bottom ever since he saw her again?!" Brenda exclaimed the moment she heard what John said about Carlo helping Adele's fashion house find the culprits behind the recent attack.

Brenda was even more stunned when she heard the woman behind this attack and the previous ones, was here in Ottawa.

"You must make sure that woman is deported back to America and placed behind bars. I don't want any trouble for my brother in future." She said and John bowed slightly.

"Yes, Ma'am."

"You may leave now." Brenda said as she turned her attention to her laptop on the desk.

    EPILOGUE~Five Years Later~ Someone was tapping her gently, trying to wake her up. Adele frowned in her sleep and pulled the duvet even more, over her face. "Bebeeee!" She groaned. "Just one more hour. It's soooo cold." Carlo smiled and pulled down the duvet once more. He stared down at her pouting lips and chuckled. "Come on now, otherwise Kerrin wouldn't spare us if she's unable to attend Celestine's 6th birthday party. You know how persistent she gets." He tried to coax her using their three year old daughter and his plan pulled through successfully. Adele sat up with a start at the mention of their daughter. Kerrin was just as persistent as Carlo.
