Keith's sudden appearance silenced the room, his authoritative presence demanding attention. Sarah's smirk faltered, replaced by a nervous flicker in her eyes as she glanced between Keith and me.

The other women shifted uncomfortably, sensing the tension thickening in the air.

Sarah swallowed hard, her bravado waning in the face of Keith's stern gaze. "I-I didn't mean anything by it, sir," she stammered, her voice betraying her confidence.

Keith's expression remained stern as he stepped forward, his demeanour unwavering. "Regardless of your intentions, such insinuations are unacceptable in this workplace," he stated firmly, his voice cutting through the silence like a knife. "I won't tolerate baseless accusations or slander against any of my employees."

"Sir, it's not fair." one of the women spoke up, her gaze dropping to the floor as soon as Keith looked at her, "I'm sorry sir but someone has to say it. And that someone was Sarah."

Sarah's eyes widened, showing her obvious panic and
