In Usual circumstances, she never liked the certain smell of hospitals.

The sharp odor of disinfectants, the noise of emergencies. That particular sound of ambulance sirens.

Patients going out happily once discharged.

People coming in a panic state worried for their loved ones.

A long time back, when Sophie's fever was not coming down she had to take her to the hospital. Hunter had stayed with her throughout.

Tonight she panicked because she felt lonely. No one was there until Rafael showed up. Without asking any questions he took the little girl from her arms and climbed into the car.

In the private hospital, they got the child admitted immediately. Once Sophia’s stretcher was wheeled inside the room, she was left alone with Rafael.

Rafael seemed to have connections there. Emerald could see questions in his eyes but he didn't demand any explanations.
