Misunderstanding

He was sitting on his swivel chair inside his office, thinking about his wife as always. What would she be doing right now? That was the question he asked himself for the hundredth time maybe. He wanted to call her but his pride would not let him do that. He sighed. It was lunch time now and he wanted to eat with her, feed her with his own hands. Then wipe the corners of her mouth and then kiss her, passionately.

'Stop it, Cain. You are mad at her.' He told himself. But did she really do that? He still could not believe that.

'Maybe, there was some technical issue?' He thought to himself. Yes, that could be. He knew how sweet and kind she was. She could never do such a thing. And on that day, she was too worried and stressed as well just as much as he was, for his father.

'No, she could not have done that. God! I should have talked with her to clear things between us rather than shunning her like that. Now, she must be pissed. Oh God, what have I done?' He mentally cursed himself.
