Chapter 34

As he served his cafe customers, he found Marie staring at him curiously, as if everything he was doing was the most interesting things she had ever seen. Over and over again, he found himself nervous as he was still unfamiliar with Marie's attention, which oddly did not bother him at all. Instead, he found himself enjoying Marie's eyes that seemed to strip him.

"Your order, Mr Jackson," he said after he managed to control the nervousness that hit him several times. The man who was his last customer fell silent, smiled slightly at him, which made him cursed himself since he must have looked weird when he said it. He glanced at Marie, who was now throwing the man a sharp glare—noticed by the man that immediately took it as a threat and decided to get out of the cafe as soon as possible.
