“I thought you weren’t going to come back.” He pouted as his hand cupped my cheek softly.

“I’ll always find a way back to you, Ace. No matter what.” I said as I closed my eyes and leaned into his hand, savoring his touch.

“Come closer my love.” He said as he tapped the bed. He didn’t need to tell me twice as I scooted right next to him. The bed was much smaller. I lifted my leg and draped it across his stomach. My other leg tangled with his as he wrapped his arms around me tightly.

“Mine.” He said in an almost childlike way as he nuzzled his head into my hair.

“All yours.” I said as I kissed his cheek.

“So tell me darling, what was going through that head of yours when you decided to take your doctor as a hostage?” I laughed.

“You. You’re always going through my mind.” He said as he held onto me tighter. “I wanted to see you, and I knew if I did something crazy enough, you’d come.” He slurred.
