　　I was in front of his company, ready to get into my role. Ryan told me that Vincent spent most of his time in his office and when he got home, Ryan was there. He never left him by himself, not even for a day. Every time Vincent would forget everything, he had talked about two hours ago with his friend, Ryan would replay the entire conversation, giving Vincent some stability.

　　“Mrs. Baker, how nice to see you again,” the receptionist greeted me.

　　“Me too! Is my husband in his office?” I asked her, looking towards the elevators.

　　“Yes, he is. I am so sorry, Mrs. Baker, for what happened. I thought…” she said, but the words stopped in her throat.

　　“I know what you thought. That I’m such an insensitive wife that I didn’t even come to check on his health,” I burst out.
