The waiting room was too bright, too clean, too everything.

Lukas felt like his nerves were being exfoliated.

His knee bounced, then stopped, then bounced again as if it had a mind of its own. If he breathed too deep, his ribs hurt; if he didn’t breathe enough, his head spun.

He sat between Aiden and Harlow doing his absolute best not to unravel. Harlow flipped calmly through a pamphlet about first trimester milestones, while Aiden tapped slowly into his phone with one hand.

Only one hand.

  • Owned on the Ice M/M Romance   One More Miracle

Max stood in front of the mirror in the visitors’ locker room, methodically taping his stick with the same focused precision he used for everything these days. The Westlake Bears’ arena hummed with pre-game energy on the other side of the wall — loud music, cheering fans, the sharp crack of warm-up shots. He rolled his shoulders, feeling the familiar weight of his pads settle into place. He needed another goalie goal tonight. He needed it.He’d come close twice in the last week. Once against Eastern, when he’d pinched up during a delayed penalty and nearly beat the opposing goalie on a long clear. The puck had rung off the post. Another time against State, he’d spotted the weak side and fired a perfect saucer pass that his winger just couldn’t finish. Every time he got close, the hunger in his chest sharpened. This wasn’t just about proving he belonged anymore. It was about proving there was only one goalie this team needed. Dane was gone, but Max still felt the pressure like a blad

  • Owned on the Ice M/M Romance   One Week Later

Jamie woke to the soft click of a key turning in his door.He blinked slowly, still tangled in sheets that smelled like Max and himself. The room was dim with early morning light filtering through the blinds. A tall figure moved quietly inside, balancing two takeout coffee cups and a paper bag from the good breakfast place two blocks away.Max looked ridiculously good for someone who’d just come from working out at the crack of dawn — gray hoodie clinging to his broad shoulders, sweats hanging low on his hips, hair still damp. The faint bruise on his jaw was barely noticeable now. He glanced over and winced.“Shit, sorry. Did I wake you?”Jamie sat up, rubbing his eyes. “No. No, I’m pretty sure I was awake already.”Max snorted, clearly not believing him, and crossed to the bed. He handed Jamie one of the coffees and the bag. “Veggie breakfast burrito. Got the sauce you like.”Jamie took it, warmth spreading through his chest. “Thanks.”Max dropped onto the edge of the bed beside him,

  • Owned on the Ice M/M Romance   Ghosts

Jamie was a really good tutor. He explained complicated stats concepts like they were the simplest things in the world, breaking them down into small, logical pieces with that quiet, focused voice. Every time he leaned over the notebook to scribble something, the oversized hoodie slipped off one shoulder and Max’s brain short-circuited for a second. He’s like a sexy teacher at the start of an old porno, Max thought, biting the inside of his cheek. Except this one’s real and I’m not allowed to bend him over the desk.Jamie bit the end of his pen while he thought, brows furrowed in concentration. It was criminal. Max wanted to pull the pen out with his teeth.“You’re doing great,” Jamie said softly, tapping the page. “See? Once you separate the variables like this, the rest falls into place.”Max nodded, pretending to focus on the numbers. He was actually focusing on the way Jamie’s dark hair fell into his eyes, the small furrow between his brows, the way his tongue darted out to wet h

  • Owned on the Ice M/M Romance   Study Session

Jamie pushed open the door to his dorm a little after five, shoulders aching from carrying his bag all day. The room was quiet except for the low hum of the mini-fridge. His eyes immediately landed on the massive television still set up on his desk like an intruder — far too big and expensive-looking for the tiny space. Max’s TV. Max’s console. Max’s hoodie. Max lingered everywhere. He dropped his bag, kicked off his shoes, and collapsed face-first onto the bed.The pillow smelled like Max.Faint cologne and a trace of the shampoo he used after practice. Jamie turned his face into it and groaned, equal parts mortified and pathetically happy. You absolute idiot. He’d agreed. He’d actually agreed to let Max come over after practice. To “tutor stats.” Yeah, right. He was letting Max use him like a personal sex doll and he’d nodded like a lovesick fool.So much for keeping any kind of distance.Jamie rolled onto his back and stared at the ceiling. He was so far gone it was embarrassing.

  • Owned on the Ice M/M Romance   Black Coffee

Jamie’s stomach plummeted the second he heard Max’s voice behind them.“You’re going to Korea?”He turned so fast he nearly knocked over his latte.“No,” Jamie stammered, voice cracking. “I-I mean… it would just be a visit. Family stuff. I’m not… I’m not moving or anything.”The sharp concern in Max’s expression softened slightly. His shoulders eased a fraction as he slid into the seat right next to Jamie, their thighs pressing together under the table.Zach appeared a second later, grinning as he dropped into the chair beside Ava. “Hey, you found them. Hi, Ava,” he said, a little too casually, cheeks pink. “You look great today.”Ava beamed. “Thanks, Zach.”Max’s hand found Jamie’s thigh under the table, warm and steady. He glanced at Jamie’s cup. “Thought you said you like black coffee.”Oh shit. Max remembered the lie.Ava tilted her head, all innocence. “What? Jamie drinking black coffee? Someone was trying to impress the hockey boys.” She winked at Jamie. “He doesn’t touch anythi

  • Owned on the Ice M/M Romance   Ava's Plan

Jamie practically sprinted to the door at the knock. He threw it open, grabbed Ava by the wrist, and yanked her inside before she could even say hello.“What’s the emergency?” she demanded, eyes wide.Jamie shut the door, locked it, and leaned back against it like he was holding back a tidal wave. “Okay. Don’t be mad at me.”Ava’s eyes narrowed. She dropped her bag and sat on the edge of the bed, arms crossed. “What did you do?”Jamie sat down beside her, knees bouncing. “I… had sex… with Max.”Ava’s mouth fell open. For a full second she just stared at him. Then—“WHAT?!” She launched herself at him, grabbing his shoulders. “That’s amazing! Oh my god, he’s so hot—why would I be mad about—”“Again,” Jamie added quickly.Ava froze. “Again? Again? As in you had sex before and you didn’t tell me?!”She snatched the nearest pillow and started beating him with it. “Jamie Park! How could you not tell me! You absolute traitor!”Jamie laughed, trying to shield himself. “I’m sorry! I’m sorry!
