EMILIA POV

I froze as the soldier acknowledged Lucas and the fact that he was standing behind me and the five soldiers that I had brought along with me.

“What are you doing here, Emilia?” Lucas asked me, forcing me to turn around with a sigh of exhaustion at being caught without even walking out of the pack already.

“We were about to go hunting,” I stood by my lie, crossing my arms as if silently daring him to say something that showed he had doubts about it and would not let me go.

“All six of you are going hunting?” He raised a questioning brow, almost scoffing in the process of it. When I nodded, he went ahead to ask, “And why didn’t you tell me about it? You’re in my pack, so I have the right to know when you leave and when you enter.”

“I didn’t know I was a prisoner,” I argued, causing him to harden his stare.

“Get back to the house, Emilia. You are not going to hunt right now, especially with the baby. If anything, the men you have with you can go out to hunt for you if you want
