Hartley chuckled and mind-linked Derreck back. ‘It’s not your fault son, we have concealed our identity and only those that have been around longer than 5-10 years, have the pleasure of knowing us. These people before you, are your subordinates. They can change at their own free will; just like any wolf. It is true, in the past, I have told you that unless you’re an Alpha, you cannot change into your wolf form, but that’s incorrect.’

‘Just like you, they have concealed their identity until the time was proper. In our wolf nature, we have to be sure that others are who they say they are; we can’t risk our identities being known to everyone. It is true, in the past, I have told you that unless you’re an Alpha, you cannot change into your wolf form; however, that isn’t true. You may change on your own free will at any time; the only exception is if you’ve never shifted. It is
