Ch. 28: The Unknown Dangers

The more that Apollo ran, the more he did so aimlessly and carelessly into the plush vegetation. The wind whipped against the fur on his body with every stride he took.

Derreck allowed Apollo all of his control while their thoughts crashed and collided with reality. Several of his body guards did their best in keeping up with the young Alpha, while the rest stayed behind and stood guard, ensuring his safety.

‘I could be paranoid, but something doesn’t feel right.’

‘What do you mean Derreck?’

‘I mean, just that. I can’t really put my finger on it, but something isn’t right. Let’s run, but be meticulous about it; shake up the path a little.’

Listening to Derreck, Apollo did as he was asked. Though they were unseen and made sure of it, there was someone lurking in the shadows.

“Have you found him?” A deep voice sounded, but in a whisper.

“Affirmative. Keeping a close watch on him and keeping his trail.”

“Very well done. Stay back far enough, so he doesn’t sense or hear you. Wolves have
