PREGNANT FOR THE PLAYBOY

Kimberly's hands shook as she took the results from the doctor.

She couldn't believe it has turned into a reality.

Hot tears flowed down her frozen cheeks.

No, this can't happen, it's not possible.

Why was this happening to her? Just that one time she decided get loose, to be like other humans, to taste life and have a little fun.

That was all it was. Fun.

Yes, she was new at this but that goddamn son of a bitch knew better to take precautions.

She was so fucking wet and completely filled with lust she didn't pay attention whether he used protection or not.

“Fuck.” Escaped her lips.

She just had to go and mess up at her very first time. Her very first time and she got herself knocked up.

By Santos.

Tears of regret flowed down her cheeks and soaked her blouse.

By Santos.

It kept on ringing in her head and she couldn't make it stop.

Upon all the men in the world, in the whole wide world, she is pregnant for Santos?

Why was luck never on her side?

He definitely doesn't want children considering the fact that he is a man whore and she definitely don't want her child to be fathered by such a despicable man.

‘Well, when you were sleeping with him, he wasn't despicable, was he?’ A little voice whispered in her ear.

Her hand shook as she dropped the paper and looked for her phone.

How will she tell her friends and children?

Can she live through this?

“W..where is my phone?" She asked the nurse that was staring down at her and tried to clean her face.

“You didn't have one on you when your were brought in.” He simply replied. " Are you okay? Cheer up, you are going to be a mother. Hey, you should be happy.” He tapped her on the arm and walked out.

Kim climbed down the bed, signed out at the reception and headed home in the middle of the night as she clung tightly to her purse for her dear life.

With every step she took towards home, she shattered bit by bit. Every breath was laced with fright and every tear, regret. Her heart went numb and all she could hear were echoes.

Congratulations Kimberlee Smith, you have successfully ruined your life.

Zita and Pamela were indeed shock when she came back but she couldn't sum up the courage to tell them what happened.

So she fixed herself up before going into the house with a flimsy excuse which they bought and hid the envelope in her purse.

A week went by and Kim cried in silence.

She felt horrible for not telling her friends but she just didn't know how to without being judged or pitied.

So she decided to put her energy to use in the coffee shop just to try and got her mind off everything but that only worked a few times.

“Okay, my shift is over.” She announced to Dan who only smiled. “ I have a job I need to attend to. I need to edit some photos I took last week of the Hudson bridge and I'm already behind schedule. Please tell Sarah I'm gone.” She added, taking off her scarf.

" Will do." He looked around and they still got about eight customers.

Kim went to the tiny change room at the back to change from her work clothes and she came back shortly, struggling to close her bag.

“Kim, can you please attend to one last customer before you head out? Apparently, your colleague and boss went to get our deliveries from next door, there was a mix up with the address and whatnot." Dan pouted.

Kim looked up at him. " I've changed already, why can't you do it?”

" C’mon," Dan pouted some more. “Here, table two, black coffee." He showed her the sticky note.

Kim hung her bag on her shoulder and headed back and shortly came out with a cup of coffee.

Locating table two, Kim stopped in her tracks when she saw Santos sited not too far from her.

No, not him again! What the hell is he doing here and why can't he seem to leave her alone?

She had been craving him for the past two months but seeing him sited right there with that stupid smile, a mass of anger slowly gathered in her chest.

She didn't know what to do. She just stood there, rooted to the floor, looking at him in shock and wishing she never met him.

Kim couldn't decide if to run or confront him but then, Sarah, her boss, walked in.

Her legs started functioning as she moved closer and closer to Santos.

She felt the tremble of her knees and the spread of little chills down her spine.

The fact that she wore her wedge sandals didn't help either as she tried to regulate each step she took.

Her knuckles turned white due to her grip on the tray and anger filled her eyes.

Kim wished she'd just disappear instead of facing him because she wasn't ready for this, she was never prepared at all.

That wasn't the right time because she'd just break down if she tries.

“Mr. Santos.." She tried to put on a smile but she suddenly tripped and fell face flat.

The hot coffee spilled at his feet, her bag fell open close to his legs and she quietly prayed for the earth to swallow her up.

The red on her face was replaced with embarrassment.

“Are you okay?" He quickly stood to help her up but she pushed him away.

“Here, I will help you." Dan lifted her up from the side. “You good?" He looked around. “I'll grab napkins. Sarah went to the back, I'll help you clean up before she notice."

“Are you okay?" Santos worriedly asked and she could hear the genuineness in his voice but her anger couldn't let her accept it.

“Just…stay away from me,” She bent to pick up her bag and put back the few things that fell out. " I don't want to see you ever again. Leave me alone, I hate you.”

Santos could only stared at her but couldn't figure out what the problem was.

“Ow!" She gasped and held her stomach in a painful grasp.

" Kim,” He called, trying to reach out to her but she slapped his hand away.

" Do not touch me!" She growled and angrily wiped the lone tear that flowed down her left cheek.

Kimberlee walked past him and dashed out of the shop into the warm sunny day.

What the hell was that? Why did she react to him like that?

Santos stroke his light beard with a sigh.

He spotted an envelope under the table and picked it.

He looked out through the glass but she was gone already.

Looking down at the envelope, he placed it in his pocket, little did he know his answers laid in that envelope.

He didn't expect her to be so cold towards him but he will definitely find out what the hell happened.

PLANS AND PLOY Stefania sat alone in her office, fingers drumming softly on the edge of her polished desk. She stared at the framed photo on her table. Santos. Smiling. Happy. With her. But Kim had to ruin everything. A bitter taste filled her mouth. She took everything. And she walks around like she belongs here. She stood and crossed the room to pour herself a drink. Something strong. She took a sip and leaned against the cabinet, her mind racing. She needed a way back in. A way to remove Kim — not just from Santos' bed, but from the palace. Her thoughts drifted to Theodore and she smirked. He looked at Kim like she was already his. He is dying to have her all to himself, she can see it. And that is perfect. There was a knock. Stefania turned, setting the glass down. “Come in.” The door opened and Theodore stepped inside, dressed in a dark jacket, expression skeptical. “You sent for me?” “I did.” She gestured to the chair in front of her desk. “Sit.”

  • Perfectly Wrong For Me   51_APOLOGIES AND FEELINGS

APOLOGIES AND FEELINGS The grand breakfast hall was already bright with morning light when Kim entered. Kim stood near the entrance, her heart thudding in her chest. The queen as already here. She straightened her shoulders, took a deep breath, and started moving. She gave a low curtsy. “Your Majesty,” she said, voice steady though her throat felt tight. “May I please speak?” The Queen’s eyes narrowed faintly. There was a long, taut moment before she inclined her head. “You may,” she said, voice cool, distant. Kim bowed again, Her gaze lifted to Santos. “I apologize,” she began, “To you, your Majesty, to the future king. At the press conference, I acted rashly. I brought shame and embarrassment upon the royal family. I disrespected the crown, Your Majesty, and failed in the comportment expected of me as future Queen of Greece.” Her words hung in the air. The Queen’s expression remained composed, guarded, there was a flicker, perhaps, but Kim could not tell. She went o

  • Perfectly Wrong For Me   50_DITCHING AT DAWN

DITCHING AT DAWN Santos was asleep, sprawled across the bed, his body relaxed after last night. His messy hair fanned over the pillow and his jaw, usually set with the resolve of a prince, softened in rest, the lines eased, eyelashes brushing against his high cheekbones. His bare shoulders gleamed faintly beneath the silken sheets, his strong arms relaxed at his sides, and his chest rose and fell in the steady rhythm of deep sleep.Beside him, Kim lay curled inward, a stark contrast in both body and mood. Her brown hair spilled over the pillow in waves. The silk slipping off one shoulder to reveal the gentle curve beneath. Her body was drawn close to Santos, as though seeking warmth and comfort. Then, without warning, Kim’s eyes fluttered open, looking around in silence of the room. The darkness felt suddenly heavy, pressing down around her like a shroud. Her gaze shifted, barely moving her head to avoid waking Santos, and landed on his peaceful face, so innocent, so untouched

  • Perfectly Wrong For Me   49_DESPERATE DESIRES

DESPERATE DESIRES Kimberlee's breath caught in her throat His imposing figure blocked her path, his eyes blazing with a mix of frustration and desire. She didn't hear him move. How did he get here? She thought he was drunk, but as she gazed up at him, she saw the clarity in his eyes, the intensity that seemed to burn through her very soul. "Why do you have to be so stubborn?" Santos demanded. "Why do you make everything so hard for me?" “San..” “Shh..” His thumb lightly touched her lips. Kim felt a shiver run down her spine as she watched, speechless, as he seemed to struggle to contain his emotions. "Why can't you just be the princess my mother wants you to be?" Santos asked, his hand pulling her throat in a tight grip. "Why can't you just be a good girl for once? Why do you always have to be so hard on me?" Kim's eyes locked onto his, searching for answers to the questions he was posing. But before she could respond, his voice came again. "I'm not drunk, Kim," he s

  • Perfectly Wrong For Me   48_CHOCOLATE AND CHOICES

CHOCOLATE AND CHOICES Kim sat alone on a bench, her eyes fixed on the fountain in the courtyard. She can't go to her friends and kids. She can't pour out her problems on them whenever she has one. They also have a life. "I'm so sorry, baby," her palm cupped her belly, her voice barely audible. "I wish I could give you a better life. A life where you don't have to deal with all the drama and stress of being a royal." Tears welled up in her eyes. She felt a pang of sadness, wishing she could feel her baby's movements, her kicks, her gentle stirrings. But it was still too early, and all she could do was talk to the tiny life growing inside her. How can Santos give her such a beautiful thing and at the same time give her a hard life? The few weeks she'd spent in the palace felt like ages in hell. How is she supposed to live the rest of her life in this suffocating place? Before she could get lost in her thoughts, she heard the sound of footsteps approaching. She turned to

  • Perfectly Wrong For Me   47_RESPECT NOR REMORSE?

RESPECT NOR REMORSE? Kim stormed into her room, the anger and frustration of the press conference still boiling deep inside her. She slammed the door shut behind her, the sound echoing through the palace corridors. Tears began to well up in her eyes as she felt the weight of the royal family's disdain bearing down on her. She walked over to the window, staring out at the perfectly manicured gardens below. As she stood there, the tears began to fall, streaming down her face as she let out a sob. She felt so alone, so unsupported. Santos' silence during the press conference had cut her deep. She had expected him to stand up for her, to defend her against Stefania’s barbed comments. But he had done nothing. The pain and anger swirled inside her, making her feel like she was going to explode. She wiped them away angrily, but they kept coming. Stefania set everything up. She hired that stupid reporter to humiliate her. It was so obvious. She was so tired
