“ Ivan.” I mumbled, trying to support him but found him on his knees in front of me, looking at me, like someone lost. Suddenly, he wrapped his arms around my waist and pulled me to him. I gasped, feeling his face over my stomach, and soon I heard his snuffles.

“ Ivan.” I mumbled, looking down. “ Are you crying?” I asked softly, getting only his sobs in response. “ I miss her.” He replied.

“ Whom?” I asked.

“ Mom.” He said, and my heart tightened hearing this. No, Ember, don't get swayed by his tears. Don't feel anything by seeing his tears. Don't feel sympathy for him. Remember, he took advantage of you in your worst

situation. My inner self said, stopping me to do anything.

“ Mom? Where is your mom? If you are missing her, then go and meet her.” I wanted to avoid saying anything, but still, I said, trying to be unaware so that he couldn't doubt me.

“ I wish I could meet her. “ He replied, and I gulped my saliva down.

“ Why are you saying this?” I asked.
