Chapter 6

When Alissa opened her eyes, she was surprised to see how much time had gone. Last night was one of the few nights she didn't get plagued by stupid nightmares, and she could sleep without interruptions. Her alarm had rung three times, and she slept through everything without flinching.

The rush to the bathroom was something else, as she hurriedly tried to get ready without spending much time while praying desperately that Russo had gone out or something. She hadn't seen him since she heard his argument with Romero, and she ran. She only hoped he wouldn't mention it, and she hated how much it would make her look like a spy. She should have walked past them without running, and maybe it would have looked like she had no interest in their conversation.
