The trip back home was quiet. Demetri looked ready to kill me when I told him that I didn't ask my Aunt how to break the bond. I understood his anger, but I also knew it was for the best. He wanted to be free, but he also wanted it to happen after he found a way to trick me into being with him.

There was just something about her or someone in her house that I didn't trust.

I immediately made my way to the kitchen for a cold glass of water, needing a moment away from the brooding and dangerous man following behind me.
